Josh sighed as he returned back to his home. He hadn't really thought about a person so much in his lifetime.
Why was he so enthralled by some local guy whose heart was sworn to a girl? Well he was actually gay and it was all for reputation but still a guy like him could never sink so low to date a guy like him, right?Josh kept having thoughts and they wouldn't stop. They all involved Tyler. His head was in knots. He couldn't find a way to get the boy out of his head.
It was the one source of happiness he saw. He had no clue why he was so head over heels for this one boy. He wasn't sure he even liked him like that he just liked the thought that he had made him smile. Something Josh hasn't been able to do in a long time.
What Josh didn't know was that Tyler had spent sometime thinking of him as well.
Tyler sat on his bed unable to do anything because he was so far gone in his thoughts. Josh's red hair and tender skin, the image of the boy was so clear in his mind and Tyler didn't know why. Josh was just a boy. Some silly boy. Besides he had to play it off straight. He also had no clue if Josh was even gay and Tyler wasn't one to assume. Much.
Either way Tyler found the boy pretty attractive no matter his sexuality. Isn't a boy allowed to simply think someone's attractive without wanting a relationship? Tyler just brushed it off as admiration for the boy.
Josh had no clue to do with the free time he has now. He knew he was bound to spend it in his thoughts some more unpleasant than others.
He figured he could just text Tyler. Every time he wanted to text him though he just didn't know how.
Weeks passed. About four to be exact. A month passed by so quickly.
Josh and Tyler would do the same thing at lunch, both of their parents caring less.Josh found out more and more about Tyler and his more positive attitude towards the world. That made Josh happy knowing someone who could have a positive aspect on the hell that they live in.
Tyler was still with his shitty girlfriend. He was bound to break it off eventually, right? Josh knew he would have to open up to Tyler. Well not have to but Josh wanted Tyler to know he trusted him. He just didn't know exactly how to do it.
"So same thing today right?" Tyler texted Josh. Today wasn't one of Josh's days. He bit his lip hesitantly looking over the text. He sighed and knew he couldn't say yes. He needed to take a breather but he felt bad to let Tyler down.
"I actually have to catch up on some studies in the library today sorry maybe next Monday" Josh hovered over the send button ultimately hitting it.
The bell rang and Josh ignored the text from Tyler he had yet to read. Josh just needed to get out. So he did. He left. He walked around and somehow ended up in the woods. He sighed and checked the messages from Tyler.
"Oh ok.."
"You ok dude?"
"You seem a bit off man.."
"Sorry I'm just concerned"Josh gave a small smile to the texts.
"Yeah I'm good just really not feeling the best today"
He really hoped Tyler didn't ask for more information than that.Josh sat on the ground. He had a massive headache and could barely stand due to it. He also felt a bit dizzy but he tried to not focus on it.
He felt a bit lonely. Perhaps it was due to Tyler being with him at this time almost everyday. He sighed and decides to text Tyler.
"I'm down in the forest that's about a five minute walk from school if you wanna try to find me and hang out"
It felt weird to ask that. To have Tyler with him in the forest sounded like a task. Josh figured it would better than sitting silently with nothing but the surrounding trees making a sound due to the wind.Tyler responded and decided to come. Josh smiled at the thought that Tyler actually wanted to come. Josh knew he couldn't trust himself alone, ever. especially all silent in some forest. He would much rather have a friend here with him. Sure Tyler may have to come find him but it was an adventure, right?
Tyler sighed as he began walking into the forest.
He stumbled upon Josh finally and he couldn't help but smile."Hey," Tyler said giving a small wave at Josh before sitting on the ground in front of him.
"Sorry you didn't have to come...I just can't trust myself alone," Josh said stifling a laugh.
"It's fine," Tyler nodded off in response. "So since you know all about me..." Tyler began.
I knew his parent weren't always home and he had a sorta shitty home life. Really strict parents and really religious as well. They were really keen on him going to church but now they were hardly there and didn't care as much. They still hated the thoughts of having anyone not straight under their roof. Homphobic to the core. He raised himself basically. He was never really picked on and kinda just blended into the crowd pretty well. He was likable which automatically made him popular. Jenna is just a cover up for his reputation which at this point he doesn't care about. He would feel bad to break Jenna's heart but he insists he will do it soon. He never had much to his story he is just a typical human.
Of course he had his ups and downs like the rest of us but that was pretty much it.
"I was kinda wondering if I could know somethings about you..?" He asked. "We have known each other for like almost a month now," he said and smiled. "But again I don't want to pressure you...just do it if you feel like you can. I don't want to force you to do anything you're not up for"
Josh sighed hesitantly. Was he really just going to let this guy in? He had trusted all the others so easily and yet they were nowhere to be found.
Was Josh actually going to do this?
