He knew this happiness wouldn't last. He was there.
He was eating his insides.
Or it.
whatever it was it was horrible for Josh.
"Do it..." The voice whispered.
He liked to call the voice blurryface.
It was his only friend.
He had to admit he wasn't a very nice friend.
Blurryface was pretty mean.
Josh didn't care.
He loved the thought of being depressed.
No he didn't. That was the voice talking.
Maybe Tyler could make the voice stop. At least for now.
"Hey...it's Josh." He sent to the number that was on the paper. What if it wasn't his number? What if it was a joke. He sighed and relaxed.
A while later he replies.
"Hello."
He smiled then sighed not knowing what to send

So he never sent anything. He left it on read. He knew he was an idiot. He couldn't trust anyone. Anything. He shook his head of the thoughts and buried his face in the palms of his hands.

One by one tears slipped from the boy's damaged dark brown eyes. The memories that he thought he had erased came flooding back. One by one.

His throat burned and his eyes equally burned as much. He laid on his cold bed and let out a shaky breath.

He silently sobbed himself to sleep. The boy that looked to be filled with so much hope, the ambitious child that once lived inside of him, the happiness, it all faded. He felt nothing. He felt cold. Numb. Heartless. Unless he looked at the brown haired boy. That Tyler guy really had a toll on the depressed pink haired boy. Something about Tyler just made Josh all smiley.

Of course Tyler was straight and had a girlfriend on top of a million friends but nonetheless Josh was still fascinated by him. He just wanted to know him better. Tyler may be the only reason Josh wanted to continue on with his life and he had no clue why the boy was stopping him. He wanted to end the misery but all the hope, happiness and ambition that filled Tyler gave Josh hope. It reminded Josh of his former self.

Josh woke up the next day and wiped the remaining tear stains from his face. He sighed. He reached for his phone and checked his messages.

6 new messages

Who the hell were they from?

Josh opened his phone to find that it was still on his and Tyler's messages.

Tyler: Yo?

Tyler: You good?

Tyler: You just gonna leave me on read like that haha

Tyler: That's ok see you tomorrow dude

Tyler: Most likely at lunch. Be prepared :)

Tyler: I sound like an idiot oh god. Sorry for the spam dude you're probably doing more important things ha. Sorry for sending so many messages I'm kinda impatient with replies and stuff...idk see you later dude :D

He realized the time was seven  am. School was going to start at eight. Was Josh really gonna put himself through half a day of hell just to go to lunch and talk to Tyler?
Josh would hate to admit it but he was.

He got up and grabbed his bag. He kept reminding himself that he was only going for Tyler. After luch he was going to ditch. He just needed Tyler's happy aura to boost his own mood.

He walked down towards school. He was shaking. He was scared that someone was gonna beat him up again. He feared this everyday. On occasion it would happen though. He was pretty much used to it but his body wasn't used to it.

He arrived and let out  a shaky breath. As he was about to open the door he felt a hand on his shoulder. His breath hitched as he turned. His scared expression stayed on his face as he turned to see who it was.

"Hey," Dallon said laughing a bit.

"Oh fuck off," Josh muttered rolling his eyes at his friend. What an asshole.

"A bit scared I see. What's got you on edge?" He asks snickering a bit.

"Nothing...but I hate you," Josh said with a sigh.

"Love you too."

"Well you should be telling you know who that," Josh said with a smirk as he let out a small laugh.

"I'm not fucking gay," Dallon said as he rolled his eyes.

"Suuuureee...but you know you are..you're fucking gay for-" Josh  got cut off by Dallon's hand being placed over his mouth. Josh looked surprised then noticed why he acted so quickly. He saw Brendon approach the entrance of the school.

"Hey..." He said with a confused expression planted on his face. "Dallon why is your hand over Josh's mouth?"

Dallon bit his lip as he frantically removed his hand from Josh's mouth.

"Uh..um..." He says stuttering over his words. Brendon laughed.

Josh stood there and crossed his arms at Dallon.

"What the hell is up? Were you talking about me?" Brendon asks raising an eyebrow with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Oh yeah Dallon just needed to tell you something," Josh said cockily.

"Fuck off Josh...No I don't need to say anything to you," Dallon said rolling his eyes at Josh before turning towards Brendon. He gave a weak smile.

"Uh...ok...whatever dude," Brendon said before walking inside the school followed by Josh and Dallon.

Josh walked towards his locker quickly gathering his items and rushing off to class.

Josh watched the clock tick as he waited in his last class before lunch. He anxiously awaited for the bell to ring completely ignoring the lesson being taught.

"Josh?" he heard a slightly annoyed voice say. He snapped back to reality and looked towards the annoyed teacher.

"Huh?" He asked. He began to sweat anxiously.

"i asked you a question-" The teacher began but was cut off by the bell. Josh quickly headed out of the class not wanting to deal with the teacher.

He sighed as he stuffed his items into his locker. He closed it and turned around to see the familiar soft face. Tyler. Well he was with several of his friends. Josh waited for them to pass before heading to lunch.

He got his tray and sat at the same empty booth, except this time it wasn't empty.

He was greeted with a warm smile from none other than Tyler.
