Fixing my hair and reapplying Chapstick I fiddled for stuff to do in the bathroom. I need to calm down before I went to the cafeteria or Livi and Cora will know something's wrong. 321 and I stepped out of the bathroom heading for the cafeteria. Kids against the lockers cast me look of pity. I returned their looks with a confused expression, but as soon as I reached the cafeteria I saw why. Bianca was making out with Eli against the table. I couldn't tell if he was kissing her back, but it still felt like I got stabbed in the heart with an axe. "You shouldn't care. You didn't have anything happening anyways," I tried to tell myself but even I couldn't believe it. Deciding I wasn't hungry anymore I left the cafeteria and walked out the side door that lead to the gym. I was in track, and the best runner by far. Couch let me use the gym whenever I wanted, which was most of the time that I was upset. Setting down my bag, I pulled out headphones and started blasting music into my ears. I changed to my running shoes and took off.Livi and Cora immediately questioned me but I told them I'd tell them later not wanting to relive that. I managed to avoid Eli most of the day and was heading to photography. Immediately, I took my seat and started reading. Mrs. Asle walked in and said," Welcome to day two of our projects! I hope you all have at least some pictures by now. Today we are going to spend the work time with our partners expected Carter, would you come here?" I got up and walked to the front noticing Eli wasn't here. "Greetings Ms. Carter. I was wondering if you would like to talk some pictures for me around school. Mr. Eli has detention again and I want you to have something to do." Mrs. Asle said. I nodded and grabbed the camera heading into the hall.
"Before he cheats!" Blasted out off my speakers. Hadley had tutoring today and her teacher was dropping her off after. My phone lit up and I checked the screen.
Eli- Be ready to continue our project in an hour.
Like HE needed to remind me? Harley walked in and asked,"Can you take me to my Art show tomorrow night?" "Sure Har whatever." She made a face, then turned and left.I was wearing: a white crop top, a black high waisted leather skirt, a black leather jacket, black heeled boots, mascara, dark red lipstick, my stomach piercing had a diamond stud, and my ears had silver. Hadley came in to check on me about an hour ago and she's the one who picked my earrings. The doorbell rang and I ran down stairs. Eli stood there like a statue. "You saw something that wasn't true." He started. "I don't care who you kiss. It's not like we were dating or anything. It's your love life, not mine Dickstick." I said quickly and headed towards his motorcycle. He followed quietly looking worried. I climbed on after him and put on my helmet, but the glass side was blacked out. "Why did you black it out?" I asked annoyed. "Wanted you to be surprised. Please just trust me for the ride."
he pleaded. Nodding I put it back on
and we took off.It felt like we has been driving for hours but we probably haven't. The second I felt us stop, I let him help me off. Looking around my jaw dropped. Beautiful buildings where everywhere and they illuminated the streets. Plants and fountains littered the walk ways. "Welcome to Seaport Village,"Eli said. "I have a fun night planned." I took out the camera and started snapping photos of the many shops. Eli turned a corner and let me into a building labeled: "Asaggio Pizza Pasta Plus". We sat down at a table and I started to look at the menu, Eli put his hand on it and said,"No need." Minutes later our food pulled up and I almost fainted. They served the: Best Chicago Deep Dish Pizza West of Wringley field. It was the most amazing thing I ever tasted. Eli laughed as I started to literally shove my face, but he didn't say anything. After we finished, Eli let me shop around a little. He got a Hard Rock Cafe San Diego shirt, and I got a Sea port pin. He grabbed my hand and gave me a light kiss on the cheek before leading me to a wall of murals and a statue. I look pictures and followed him to a statue of two people kissing. I felt myself turn bright red when Eli looked back at me. He grabbed my hand again and let me to the carousel. The biggest attraction in the park. We climbed onto horses right new to each other. "It wasn't true you know." Eli said after a few minutes of silence. "She kissed me. I pushed her off and told her I liked someone else." "Who?" I asked. "Well. She's this girl who used to be my best friend before I moved. She moved also and that was the best day off my life. She has beautiful auburn hair and piercing green eyes." He replied smiling. "Her name is Carter and she is the most wonderful person I ever met." Without thinking, I leaned across the gap between our horses and pressed my lips to his. He reached over and used his hand to hold my face steady as he kissed me back. Then the carousel came to a jerking stop and I fell sideways towards Eli. He caught me before I hit my head on his horse and helped me up. He kissed me lightly on the forehead before leading me off the carousel. We walked back to his motorcycle hand in hand and drove off back to my house.
