Ch24

Arie Pov

We've searched everywhere for Roman but no sight of him. Patricia started to get restless. She tried to follow his scent but it led us to a dead end. I tried using my powers but that led to nothing. It was now 2:40pm. We stopped searching for a bit and went to local diner. "Arie we searched everywhere and no sign of him. What if the sheriff already found him? What if a slayer got to him?" She cried.

I looked up at Patricia with a unbelievable look. "Don't say that Patricia. We'll find him before the sheriff does. Have faith. Once we find him everything will turn good as gold." I said. Our conversation was cut off by a breaking news report on the TV. "Another wolf attack has been recently found by locals in a close neighborhood. Officials identified the victim as 20 year old Carmen Joyce. The officials believed that Carmen was walking from work when he was attacked." Reporter Jeremy Sanders said.

Patricia and I looked at each other with shock. "I have a feeling it's Roman. I sense something went wrong." I said. "How can you tell?" She asked. "Werewolves don't hunt human. They only hunt like deer, moose or any animal in the woods. The only way for werewolves to hunt and kill a human if their humanity has snapped. That means that the human side of a werewolf has lost total control of he or she's wolf." I said. "Then we have to find him before he kill again." Patricia said.

We walked back outside and thought of a way to find Roman faster. An idea came to me. "I'll call Raven,Vatani,Aidan,Warez and the others. This will speed up the search." I said. Patricia nodded and I called Raven. Once she answered I told her what happened with Roman. Throughout the conversation she held a worried tone. Raven agreed to help and lucky for me Aidan,Vatani, Becky,and Warez was with her already. We decided to meet up by the forest entrance. One the way they'll pick up Dean and Seth.

We teleported to the forest entrance and waited for the others. Minutes past and everyone arrived. Dean and Seth bowed at Patricia because she was the Luna;its a werewolf thing. "Ok so this is the beforeRoman humanity snapped and he have lost control of his wolf. He's somewhere in that forest and we're going to find him before the sheriff find him. We'll split up into 3. Patricia,Raven and I will search north of the forest. Becky,Aidan and Vatani search East and Dean,Warez and Seth will search West. If you find anything,call everyone. Got it?" I said. Everyone nodded and split up.

Raven's Pov

We started searching for Roman. When my mom told me about Roman I was terrified. I hardly knew Roman's wolf vicious side. Now Roman's humanity has snapped. No matter,my love for Roman knows no bound. In his darkest and lightest hours I'll be with him. He'll do the same for me and I know it. Deep down in that wolf is the man who will never stop fighting for me. I just know it.

We kept up the search and we haven't found one sight of Roman. Time to time my mom and Ms. Patricia would engage in small talk. Ms. Patricia would start small talk with me about Roman and I. I didn't know that she liked me. She told me that I'm perfect for Roman. At least she likes me. Roman's father, Mr. Sika doesn't think I'm good for his son. Only because I'm non wolf. That actually hurt,just to be honest. I know I'm different but Roman still loves me for me. He doesn't mind if I'm different.

I haven't noticed but a few tears were falling. Ms. Patricia noticed though.
"Raven,honey whats wrong." She asked. I sighed a faced her. "Why does Mr. Sika hate me?" I asked. "Sweetheart, Sika doesn't hate you. He just see things differently. He's a very old soul who sticks to the rules. Once he gets to know you he'll like you just like I do." She said smiling. I smiled weakly and played with my hands. Ms. Patricia giggled a bit and I looked at her with confusion. "You know, when Roman was a pup;just at the age of six he told me once he got older he wanted to find his mate so quickly so he can treat her like a queen. He said he'll protect her with all his might. Now that he haves you he's fulfilling his promise. I can see the love in his eyes for you. He loves you with a passion. By the looks of it,Roman can't wait to start a family with you. If you get to that point." She said.

I looked up at her and smiled. She smiled back. Our conversations was put to a halt by my mom. "Girls I think we're close." My mom said. looked at her and she pointed to a dead moose carcass. "I think I'm going to be sick." I said covering my nose and mouth. "Patricia can you catch his scent?" My mom asked. Ms. Patricia sniffed the air and her eyes widened. "Well?" My mom urged her on. "Yes but he's not far. He's coming this way." She said.

I grew scared. I didn't what Roman to take us as a threat. "We need to stay out of his way. In order to bring him home he must be calm. I nodded and she told us to hide. My mom and Ms. Patricia hid behind some stones and I hid in a tree. Roman came around and he sniffed the air. His mouth and chest was covered with blood. I was trying to get ahold of my heavy breathing but I was failing. Roman's ears perked up when he herd the branch I was on snapping slowly.

I was slowly getting off the branch when Roman's attention turned to the stones that Ms. Patricia and my mom mom was hiding behind. I couldn't let Roman find them so I did the only thing I can do. I jumped out the tree and Roman turned to me. He growled and snarled at me. "Roman I know your in there. Please fight back your wolf. Deep down is a man who will do anything for me. Please come back to us." I pleaded. Roman didn't listed and he charged at me. I ran for my life. Roman was nipping at my ankles. I kept running until I reached a dead end. Roman caught up to me and cornered me. He stalked his way over to me and was baring his teeth. Roman was at my shoulder level. "Roman please listen to me. Its me, Raven. The girl you loved with a passion. The girl that you said that would be a perfect future Luna. I'm the girl who'll love you no mater what. Please Roman snap out of this." Roman was now in my face. His red eyes glew a fire red. All I can see is anger.

Don't get me wrong I was scared out of my mind but I didn't want Roman to get caught by the sheriff. Then my mom's words came to mind. Calm him. I slowly raised my hand up to touch the side of his face. Roman growled and I stopped. "Roman its only me." I said calmly. I continued to raise my hand to the side of his face. He huffed and gave a low growl but he stopped. He let my hand connect to his face. His black yet bloody fur fowed through my hand. I rubbed his cheek and Roman I never broke eye contact. Roman's breathing was loud yet slow.

Roman gave a low muffle and he closed his eyes. He reopened them and nuzzle me. I don't know if his humanity is back but at least I got him calmed. "Raven?" Someone yelled. I recognized the voice as my brother's. Roman instantly tensed up and turned around. He growled when he saw my brother,Aidan, Vatani, my mom and the others. Roman stood in front of me like he was protecting me.

Warez walked up but stopped. Roman growled and stepped up. "Roman its ok. They're not going to hurt us." I said. My mom stepped up and held Warez back. "Warez stay back. Raven is the only person who can calm him." She said. Roman took that as advantage and tried to attack. My mom wasn't paying attention. With the new sleep spell that my mom taught me I shot the spell at Roman, making him fall. My mom turned around and saw Roman on the ground. "Did he just tried to attack me?" I nodded and she just sighed.

I walked towards Roman's sleeping body,knelt down and rubbed his head. "What now?" I asked. "We have a big cage in the basement that we use when was our first shift. We can put him in there." Dean offered. My mom and Ms. Patricia nodded to Dean's offer. Ms. Patricia said she'll drive to the house along with Aidan,Vatani,Becky and Warez. My mom decided for Dean,Seth and I to teleport. I touched Roman and all of us teleported to the guys house. Dean and Seth brought Roman to the cage in the basement while my mom and I sat in the living room. "Raven are you ok?" My mom asked. "Mom when Roman cornered me,I calmed him. I put my hand on the side of his face and he just stared at me. Then he nuzzled me." I said.

My mom nodded and sighed. "He remembers you. Which made Roman's humanity come back. He may have his humanity back but he needs to stay in the cage for a while longer. Just to be safe. To speed up the process you can accompany him." She smiled. I nodded and laid back. I wasn't going down there just yet. Roman needed some rest and I'm going to let him.
