Chapter 37

"You've changed things? What have you done," Rumple asked.

There was a pause before Emma said, "We stopped are parents from meeting."

He motioned us to coming inside.

"Thank you Mr. Stiltskin for believing us. I know time travel is a hard to swallow," Emma said.

"Oh Rumpelstiltskin your back," a women said, "Do you need anything?"

Me and Emma both turned around to find that it was Belle.

"Belle," Emma said.

I kicked her ankle.

"Do we know each other," Belle asked.

"Oh, no, sorry. Mr. Rumple, the dark one, uh told me about you," she said then gave me the 'I'm sorry' look.

"Oh did he," she asked with a smile.

"No," Rumple said in disgust, "Go away and read a book or whatever you like to do. Come back and clean later."

"You know you could ask nicely," she said.

"Or I could turn you into a toad," he said.

"I can't believe you two fall for each other," Emma said.

"Seriously Emma," I whispered hitting her arm.

"What? Your telling me I fall for the help," he said.

"Yes she has a strange sense of humor now let's get back to our parents," I said.

"Yes, now who are they," he asked.

"Snow white and Prince charming," Emma said.

"Prince charming," he said in a mocking tone.

"His real name is Prince James," I said.

"King George's son," he asked, "Who's wedding is already arranged."

"See that's what I'm trying to tell you. That marriage isn't supposed to happen because the ring gets stolen by Snow White," Emma said.

"It's quite the tale your telling," he said.

"Here I'll show you. It's in a book," she said turning to me.

I pulled the book out of my bag and handed it to her. But once she opened it the whole book was blank.

"What," she said.

"It's all gone," I added not believing my eyes, "Everything that was supposed to happen after they met has disappeared."

"The ripple effect. Once you change something in the past everything after the point becomes unclear. The future as you can see is a blank page." He said.

"We've got to get Snow to steal that ring so there story can get back on track," Emma said.

"Your in luck there's a ball tonight at King Midas's castle. Prince James will be there, and so will his ring," he said.

"So we just have to get Snow there," Emma said.

"How? We don't even know were she is," I said.

Rumple cleared his throat, "Allow me," he said walking off.

He went to a crystal ball and then used his hand to show a picture of Snow.

"There she is," Emma said.

"And she's with Black Beard. She's trying to get passage on his ship," I said.

"And it a appears, failing," Rumple said.

"She can't escape the way she was supposed to with out the ring," Emma said, "Can you help us?"

"Help you, I can work on trying to get your portal to open again in the near future. But getting your parents back together, you made that mess dearie. Only you know what you did, now go undo it." He said then walked out of the room.

"If she's looking for passage out of town I may know a captain who can help us," I said.

"Who," she asked.

"Captain Hook," I said.

There he is," i said pointing to captain hook sitting at a table in the middle of the room.

"Is even an idea, what about the the whole preserving the future stuff," she asked.

"It will be fine. Judging by the amount of stuff he's drinking if he sees anything funny he'll probably just blame the rum," I said, "You just to make sure he stays occupied. I'll take care of the rest."

Emma began to untie her dress.

"What do you think your doing," I said.

"Keeping him occupied. We both k is that I'm his type," she said getting up.

"Be careful please," I said then walked off to find mom.

I got on to Hook's ship and was stopped instantly by Smitty.

"What do you think your doing," he asked.

'Forgive me mom' I whispered then pulled his heart.

"You'll do as I ask for the moment. Go get me that girl and do it quietly, bring her below deck after you get her. Tell her the captain would like to talk to her," I said.

I walked below deck and wiped the tears that got out and took a deep breath. I put a spell on my face to have her not recognize me and sat down in the shadowy part of the room.

"Who are you," snow asked coming down the stairs.

"Doesn't matter. My husband is the captain for this ship and I can help you," I said.

"What do you want," she asked.

"It's not what I want it's what I can do. I hear your seeking passage out of the enchanted forest," I said.

"That's true but I don't have enough money," she said.

"It's not about money. It's treasure I want and I think you can get it for me," I said opening one for the wanted posters, "Snow White. You are a thief aren't you."

"If I get this for you, you'll get me safe passage on you husbands ship," she asked.

"It's already in motion darling," I said.

"Then tell me what I have to steal," she said.

"A wedding ring," I said.

"Consider it done," she said.

"Go quickly I think my husband's back," I said.

She got up and left without another word. I took the spell off and began to leave.

"What are you doing here. I though I told you to keep him occupied," I whispered as Emma came down the stairs.

"I am," she said.

"By taking him hear," I said.

"I thought you would be gone by now. I'll try to keep him up deck so you can get out of here," she said as he started to come down the stairs.

They started kissing and I grabbed a lamp and came up behind him. She let go and I broke it over his head.

"Are you kidding me how is that not going to have consequences," she asked.

"He'll blame the rum come on," I said.

Emma ran ahead. I put Smitty's heart back without her seeing and apologized and made him promise not to tell anyone then caught up with Emma.
