Chapter 43

Six Weeks after the Snow Queen

I sat in Granny's with Henry as we waited for Emma and Regina to get back from sending the demon over the town line. When they returned victoriously we all celebrated. During the celebration, Regina pulled me aside to talk.

"Henry and I have been trying to discover the secrets of the book and hopefully get me a happy ending," she said.

"That's wonderful, how can I help," I asked.

"Well, you wrote the book we were hoping that you could write me a happy ending."

"Regina when I wrote the book with August and Neil there was no magic or special power that helped us to do so. We just wanted to help Emma believe."

"But I don't think that that is the full truth. That book radiates magic and during our research, we discovered that there have been many authors over time and they are all chosen by the sorcerer. If you wrote this book you had to have been chosen."

"I'm so sorry Regina I don't have any memory of a sorcerer or magic or anything. I mean we were in the real world, a world without magic, when we wrote it how could that be possible."

"I was hoping that you were going to be able to tell me that," Regina said defeatedly.

"I'm so sorry Regina, I wish I knew more. But just because I don't remember now doesn't mean something can't jog my memory. Let me help you and Henry with your research and see if anything can come back to me," I said, trying to cheer her up.

"Thank you, Leah, that would be great," Regina said.

"I wish August was still here. He spent some time in Hong Kong and he talked about a man named Dragon and he knew something about the book and the author. His time in Japan was hard for him to talk about so I never got much out of him," I said.

"August may not be here, but Pinocchio is," Regina said, a plan forming in her mind.

"I don't know if he would even remember anything but you can try," I said.

"I'll let Henry know and we will talk with him in the morning," she said and then headed back to the celebration that was being cut short as Emma had just informed my parents that Cruella and Ursula were outside the town line and she promised them away in.

Regina then threw the sorcerer's scroll over the town line and the two villains took it with bliss and got in their car and drove over the line.
