Leah's life (a Once Upon a Time fanfic)

Chapter 28

With everyone still on there hunt for Gold, Regina looking after Henry, and Ruby and Granny looking after Raven I decided I'd help Belle clean out the store for a bit. after about an hour the trash bags started to fill up so I took the them down the street to the dumpster. As I was throwing the bags in I saw someone walking around in the field behind the dumpsters. I closed the lid and slowly walked out towards them.

"Hello sir. My name is Leah, can I help you find anything," I shouted.

"Leah thank goodness," I'd recoginze that voice anywhere.

"Neil," I said walking fast now. When I reached him he hugged me and I hugged him back. "Oh my word I've got to get you to a hospital so they can make sure you're ok."

I helped him walk to my car and I had Belle call Hook, Emma, and my father and tell them to come to the hospital. When everyone arrived they told him that his father was a live and took note of the burn mark on his hand. Then Neil asked for a moment alone with Emma so we all waited in the hall. When Emma came out they started back on there hunt they asked me to join and I told them I'd meet up with them later. I walked back into Neil's room and sat on the endof the bed.

"Hey," I said.

"Hi," He replied.

"Not to be weird, Neil but you wouldn't happen to know about a bird with a note attachted to it that told Hook to bring Emma and I back here to Story Brooke?" I asked.

"I don't know, I don't remember anything like that," he said.

"It's ok I was just wondering."

"What's wrong with you?"

"What, nothing, why do you ask?"

"Come on Leah I know you better then that. Tell me what's wrong."

"I wish I would have gone with you and everyone." 

"Emma needed you way more then we did. You didn't have a choice " he said.

"I know that but, you know when they said that this cure was going to bring us all back to the enchanted forest I was really excited because everything sense I left when I was 4 made me miss it. I mean it was my home you know? And I didn't even get to experence it," I said.

"Tell you what, when your sister are the others figure our how to get his memories back, which they will, all tell you all the adventures we had when we were there for that year. Deal?" he said.

"Deal," I said.

Hook walked in holding a bowl in his hand, "They have requested that you come with them Leah I'll stay and babysit Neil for you." 

"Thanks Hook. I'll stop back in later if your still here," I said then left to catch up with them. 

"Leah come on David wants you to come look for Gold with us" Emma said.

"Ok" I said.

I took a trail in the woods by myself so that I could think. Did I really want to go back to my home, my childhood? Then reality and my brain starts to kick in and realize something, I was wants the Enchanted Forest, my parents, the dwarves, the magic of a ball in a castle, and magic to be my childhood, because I couldn't alway remember the time that I had it all. I was four years old when the Evil Queen cast that curse and I did all my growing up here in the real world. I was drawn out of my thoughts when a heard cries of aganizing pain. I ran closer to them and found my dad and Emma running toward it just across the way. Then there he was, Gold, kneeling on the ground holding his head.

"Gold, what happened? Are you okay?" Emma yelled when we all three reached him.

"No! No! The voices I can't quite them," Gold yelled.

"We know you were held captive by the Wicked Witch do you know where she is," I said softly looking at Emma.

"Yes, she's she's," He began yelling again, "There's no room, no room the voices." He kept yelling about the voices in his head.

Dad started to say something until a flying monkey came down from the sky. Dad cut it with his sword and Gold started to run away. I was conflicted on what to do but followed Gold into the wood, Emma not far behind me.

After awhile I noticed that Emma was no longer behind me. Her absences was not long when I heard yelling not to far from where I was. As I approched I saw Emma next to Neil on the ground and Neil's face slowly turning from his to his fathers.

"Neil I think you father is inside of you and that's how your still alive," Emma said.

"Oh my word," I said and got down next to Emma.

"Help me," he cried.

"Ok, Emma I'm going to try to get Gold out of him but you might have to help me, ok?" I said.

"No he'll die," she said.

"But we can't let him live like this," I said as Neil cried out again.

"You need my father more than me. To find the Witch and save the town," Neil said.

"Emma are you ready," I said.

"Do it, please," Neil said.

I grabbed his hands and Emma held onto my wrists and with in a minute Gold was sitting in front of us and Neil was lying on the ground beside him gasping for air to survive. I could be there I wasn't needed I ran off with my tears all the way back to my parents do step. I could go in. I can't go in, this was Emma's to share with them not mine. Hours later Emma came up the stair my tears had dried but her's were still fresh and trickling down her cheeks. I wrapped her in my arms for a moment before we walking in together to tell them all the news. As Emma received sympathy from my parents the only thing I could think about was the book. I was the only one of us left, and I didn't want to be.
