Chapter 5

We wake up the next morning and we loaded up his bike. I kissed him on the cheek and he rode off. I texted him every day and he said there wasn't much progress. Neil visited once a week to make sure everything was ok. I got a baby sitting job. I was really good at it. The kids loved me and it paid well, aside from all the consent worry about everything back in Story Brooke.

A time in the future

I walked home from Wendy's and it started to rain. When I got home, a bird was standing it my window. There was something stuck to its foot. I walked over to it and gave it some bird seed and pulled the paper off its foot. I went to throw it away and I saw the world 'Broken.' I turned it around and saw it was a post card for Story Brooke.

"August."

I walked away from the trash and put it on the shelf in the living room. I cleaned up the bird seed and closed the window. 'KNOCK KNOCK' I heard on the door. When I opened it Neil came rushing through the door.

"Did you get it?" He asked holding up his postcard.

"Yes," I replied pointing to it on the shelve.

"So what does that mean?" he asked.

"It means the curse is broke, I can see my parents and you can see your dad and Emma," I replied.

"No, no, no, I'm not seeing my father, I will not see him after what he did to me," he said.

"But you can see Emma," I said.

"If I go I will run into father. I won't take that risk you can go, but I'm staying," he said.

"Then what did you came down here for," I said harshly.

"I don't know," he replied softly and left the room.

Well I waited a day and left. I told the front desk to have what they wanted and throw the rest out. I carried my two boxes, four bags, and three suit cases and left.

I got to the town line. I don't think anyone saw me or heard me. I turned the car off and listened. My dad was giving a speech which he had really never done before.

"Leah's not here and I don't know where she is. But you know if she was here she would be pushing you right back in your cars. She wants you and everyone, to be happy," I heard him say.

Then everyone went back to their cars and drove off, all who was left was my dad.

"Wow, that was a great speech, sense you know mom gave them all," I said.

He turned around and looked at me. He looked down at my necklace.

"Leah is...is that you?" he asked.

I walked closer. "Who else would it be?" I said.

He held out his arms and I ran right to him. We were both crying. Then we laughed and looked at each other with a smile.

"You're all grown up. I'm sorry I missed it," he said.

"Yes, I wish you were there too," I replied, "Where mom is oh and Emma?"

"Well, they fell through a portal and I didn't make it though," he said.

"I'm sad there not here, but I'm glad your not with them so you can be with me," I told him honesty.

"Your right, I'm glad I'm here too. Now, are you hungry?" he asked.

"Starving," I said.

"Alright then, let's get something to eat," he said.

I walked back to my car and got in. We pulled up to Granny's. I didn't get out and dad came to the window of my car.

"Hey, you might want to stay in your car. I'll come get you when I'm ready," he said.

"Ok, and if Grumpy is in there have him come out here so I can see him," I said

"I'll be right back," he said.

He walked in the door. A minute later Grumpy walked out. I got out of my car.

"Grumpy, it's me, it's really me," I said and walked around my car.

"There's one way to know for sure," he said, "What's my real name?"

"Your real name is Dreamy, but you couldn't be with the one you loved and your name changed to Grumpy," I said.

"It is you," he said.

I smiled and he came over and hugged me.

"I told everyone you were coming in Leah," dad said.

I walked in and everything was quiet. We sat down and Red came over and hugged me.

"Welcome back Leah, now let me guess pork with rice and a glass of orange juice," she said.

"You know me perfectly Red, thank you," I replied.

After Red left everyone came and said hello and gave me a hug and went about there business but one girl in the corner. The black hair and black hoodie it had to be Raven. I got up and walked over to her.

"Hey you probably don't recognize me. The last time you saw me I was four chasing you around the castle," I said to her.

"I'm Raven, Red's daughter, we were never properly introduced," she said.

I gave her a hug and went back to the table.
