"Stop talking about it and just do it" my best friend told me as I worried about this whole relationship with Cameron. We aren't together. But I guess we aren't really talking anymore. See I live a long ways away from him.
I called him and he picked up after a minuet. "Hello" he answered. "Hey cam, I just need to talk for a quick second" I said as I rushed my words out.
"Yeah?" He asked. "Okay, well I'm trying to move on but I just need to know that you don't care about me in order to do that" I told him.
"What?" He asked confused. "Cameron I can't get over you" I blurted out. "Me?" He asked. "Yeah"
"Why?" He questioned me. "Cameron, you're all I ever wanted. I thought we clicked so well" I told him with a sigh.
"We did." He said. "Then what happened? One minute we were talking and the next you hardly seemed like you wanted to talk to me." I confronted him.
"Y/n, I know I've been distant. I'm just afraid of doing something wrong and losing that connection with you." He sort of explained.
"Cameron that's that only think you are doing wrong." I said softly.
"What do you mean?" He asked. "Cameron I really like you. I just thought you were losing interest in me, I just couldn't get over you and I wanted to know that you didn't care so I could go. But now you are telling me that you were distant because you didn't want to do anything wrong to lose me. That's the only thing you are doing wrong. I just miss starting and ending my days with talking to you cam" I spilt out.
"I'm sorry" he said sounding really upset. "Don't be, just don't assume you are going to lose me. Okay? I promise if anything bothers me I will let you know" I told him.
"Okay. And by the way I really like you too. I would've been so upset if you would've left" he said with his voice low.
"I would've been upset too. I'm glad we got to work this out" I said. "Thank you for calling me. I didn't have the guts to" he laughed. "Why?" I asked.
"I don't know, I just didn't want to bother you I guess" he said. "You never bother me" I softly told him. "Good, now I'm going to go, I am going to eat with my family" he said.
"Okay, have a good time" I told him. "Thank you, bye beautiful" he said before hanging up.
