I was at my house waiting for my boyfriend Cameron to come over when a storm warning came across my tv screen.
My phone started ringing and I seen it was from my mom.
"Hello" I answered
"Hi hun, I'm just calling to let you know that the storm coming is very bad. Don't leave and you are probably going to loose power so I hope you have flashlights and batteries because I know you don't have a generator." She said worried.
"Okay mom thank you" I told her.
"Oh all make sure cam doesn't go anywhere either." She told me.
"Actually mom he is on his way over here" I said. "Well then he's staying the night" she told me with a chuckle.
"Okay" I laughed. "Love you mom, I'm gonna go get my flashlights." I laughed more.
"Okay hun. I love you too. By the way it's to early for grand babies you are still in school" she said to me.
"Mom I'm not having kids" I said shockingly because she brought it up.
"Just making sure" she laughed. "Okay love you bye" I laughed back at her.
"Love you too bye" she said hanging up.
I went and found all of my flashlights and candles and I got a couple lighters and threw them on my kitchen counter. I made sure my dog was inside and shut the doggy door.
I was walking back into the living room and I heard the door rattle and Cameron walk in, locking the door behind him.
"Hey babe" I said as he came up and hugged me. "Hiiiiii" he said in my head. I giggled and he started kissing my neck up to my lips.
"Oh hey my mom said there is a bad storm so do you want to stay here tonight?" I asked grabbing his and pulling him toward the living room.
"Welllllll. Only for Finn" he said bending over and petting my pup that was prancing around by his feet. I laughed.
"Oh right I forgot you only like my dog" I told him as I let go of his hand.
"I'm kiddinnnnng" he said sitting down on the couch pulling me on top of him.
"I knoooooow" I said as I kissed him and we made out a bit. He laid me down on the couch and I put my hands on this sides of his face.
His phone started ringing. And he ignored it.
"Babe" I said when he started to kiss behind my ear. "Hmm" he hummed against my skin.
"Babe" I said again reaching for his phone in his pocket. I pulled it out and looked to see who it was. "Who is it?" He asked. "It's you're mom" I told him. He sat up and took his phone answering it.
"Hey mom... I know... no... yeah... yes... she told me about it, it's not worries I'll stay here. Yeah mom. Love you too. She loves you too. Bye" then he hung up. "She said that the storm is already starting to hit over there and a couple trees have already fallen, and wanted to make sure I was put somewhere, and said she loved us" he explained to me.
"I miss your mom" I told him as I sat myself up. "She misses you too, last time I went home she was mad because I didn't bring you" he laughed. I laughed with him.
I looked out the window and seen that it was starting to rain pretty hard. "Do you think the power will really g-" I tried to get out before being cut off by the power going out.
"Yeah" he said and I laughed. "Let's go take stuff back to my room" I told him as we grabbed the candles and flash lights. We laid down on my bed and he played with my hair as I started to fall asleep.
I woke up from my little nap to Finn barking and the bed moving. I see Cameron leaving the room so I bet he's probably taking the pup outside to use the bathroom.
I got up and looked at my phone to see it is 6:30 already. I lit some of the candles in my room and in the bathroom. I took one of the flashlights out to the kitchen and looked for somethings we could eat.
Cameron came in the kitchen with my soaking wet dog. "It's bad there are a ton branches down" he said. "That's not good. But hey do you want cereal or a pb and j, oh and there is some fruit in the fridge?" I asked
"Im gonna make a sandwich" he told me as he got everything out to make it. I got out the fruit and we ate together in the kitchen.
"Babe did you hear when the power is supposed to come back on?" Cameron asked me. "Yeah it's estimated between 3am and 8am" I told him.
We finished eating and went back to my room. We laid down in my bed and he pulled me into his chest.
"I wish you could stay here with me forever" I told him. We sat in silence for a few minuets "Move in with me" he said after a bit.
"You really want me to?" I asked him. "Well, yeah. We have been together for about two years now the only reason why we don't is because I always go away for tours and stuff, but think about it. You and Finn move into my house, there is enough room. It will save money. And I will get to come home to the most beautiful girl" he explained.
"Well, I think I'm in on this" I giggled and kissed him. "Good, you better get your house put up on the market" he said with a chuckle.
We sat around and talked for awhile. Soon we blew out the candles and went to bed.
