Getting ready on school mornings was actually hard for our family, since we all had places to be.
"Rebecca don't forget your medicine" Dad yells juggling his brief case, coffee and few football papers.
"Okay!" I yell pushing Nick into the washroom and telling him to brush his teeth.
I quickly and slowly slide my foot into my white Air Force one's completing my comfy outfit for the day. I had stayed up studying for a Physics test last night so I chose to wear a pair of lululemon leggings, a light blue hoodie, Nike socks that I rolled up and my shoes. My outfit screamed comfy outfit.
"Becca!" Mason yells before throwing me my prescription bottle and rushing Nick into the car.
I grab my messenger bag and an apple before slowly running or limping to the car before Mason drives away.
"You sure no one will make fun of lazy look?" Nick questions trying not to laugh as I pull my hair up into a ponytail.Mason and I both look into the rear view mirror with a face like what the heck?
Mason puts an arm around the back of my chair pulling out and heading the opposite side of where our school was at.
"Yea well if they do, let the rumours start" I shrug taking a bite of my apple, and checking some emails.
"Yea or just let the football team smash the kids face into a locker" Nick says with a chuckle. Mason mouth drops before letting out a laugh.
I roll my eyes letting out a fake laugh "your funny Nick" I muse and he gives me a thumbs up before checking out his backpack to make sure he has everything.
"Your ready for your test right Nick?" Mason questions tapping his fingers along to a song that was on the radio.
"Pretty sure" Mason nods.
"Alright so I've got a track meet out of state for a few days next week" Mason reminds us, I nod still munching on my apple.
"But" Mason puts a finger up, grabbing my attention "I should be back by your surgery. It's Friday right?"
"Friday at eleven-thirty" I remind him, and he nods.
"Don't puke while in the surgery room Becca" I roll my eyes as Nick continues to make stupid jokes.

I grab a lunch tray and step into line with Kalyn and Ashley, I was in the middle.
"So when's the surgery?" Kalyn questions looking briefly at my knee before looking back at me. I look behind me to Kalyn
"Next Friday" I tell them, Ashley gives a sour look.
"What?" Kalyn and I question
"You're gonna miss finals between Josh's school" I laugh rolling my eyes.
"Thank god maybe I won't fall to my death" I shrug, the girls laugh.
I've missed this, I haven't spent much time with just the three of us. I've been occupied lately with Grayson and Jacks, it's been crazy.
"You know we should totally hang out today after school" I announce paying for my lunch. Ashley nods holding her tray.
I step aside waiting for Kalyn to pay before we go and sit down.
"Oh we should totally see a movie or go to the mall, we haven't been to the mall just the three of us lately"
"Let's be productive for Rebecca's sake" I laugh at Ashley's comment
"The mall it is" we say laughing. We settle down at a random table close to the large windows covering a wall of the cafeteria.
"You know it's good we're going to the mall because I need a new book to read" Kalyn announces.
