Walking into the cafeteria knowing that half of this horrible day is almost done gives me a little hope, not a lot just a little to get me through the rest of the day.

"A Little birdie told me that you and Grayson were having a conversation today before class" Ashley squeals. I don't understand why my friends are so interested in a nonexistent friendship with Grayson.

She was the first one to pair us up as a so called perfect couple, she's always been a fan of us two.

I roll my eyes opening up my yogurt "Yea and?" I question.

"What'd you guys talk about?" She questions.

"Summer, on how he didn't see me anywhere. Which was stupid and he was just trying to get into my head." she nods not questioning any further as she knows where I was all summer.

"Hey Bec?" I snap my head to Nathan who was sitting beside me on my left, I nod.

"Can you get me some soda" he begs, I roll my eyes.

"God gave you feet, use them boy" I whine dramatically.

"Yea but you love me, and I'd get you anything" He begs again about to start the puppy dog eyes.

Groaning in annoyance, "Fine" I hold out my hand as he places a 10 dollar bill in my hand, I make my way to the incredibly ridiculous long cafeteria lunch line.

"Oh My God, there he is, the god of football Grayson Clark" I hear a freshman squeal, rolling my eyes shifting my feet. This week is not my week.

I continue to listen to the group of girls gush over Grayson before finally speaking, unconsciously. "Oh please." I huff.

The group of girls turn around to me and I step back, shocked I had said that out loud. " Wait aren't you Rebecca Jones? Grayson's girlfriend" the second girl questions.

I laugh "me his girlfriend? I would never stoop that low."

"Alright suit yourself, I think you two will make a cute couple" the girl right behind me comments. My god, these people.

"Join the club with everyone who pairs us together." I huff.

Stepping to the section were the soda is held, I grab two knowing Kyle would've whined or something that I didn't get him one, and I'm saving myself here so I don't have come and stand in this line once more. Because the cafeteria line is full of gossip and I can't handle it anymore.

"Heard you were talking about me" a male voice I know all to well whispers close to my ear. I shiver under his breath, something I always hated myself for doing.

"No those freshman in the line keep calling you the God of football and I just wanted to let them know they are wrong." I smile sweetly at him.

"Will I am a God" He shrugs, shoving his hands into his pockets, shaking my head as I pay for the two drinks. Narcissist.

I smile at the lunch lady taking the change "I'm pretty sure you aren't a God." I point out.

"I'm pretty sure I am a god, on the field and in a bed." he says following me to my table where my friends are. I place the two sodas down at our table, Nathan and Ashley eyeing me slightly.

"Please just leave." I sigh, too tired to even argue with him.

"If I don't, what are you going to do?" he teases as he sticks his pointer finger in the dressing for his salad.
