Alex's POV

'Maybe we could get to know them... It might not be as bad as we think.' I thought trying to let Riley listen in.. Hearing each others thoughts was something we got used to pretty quickly as kids. When we first met, it freaked the both of us out pretty badly.. We didn't talk about it for months and occasionally talked like that for awhile. About the age of 13, we actually talked about it and decided that it was cool and started learning how to control it. We learned how to keep each other from listening in and we learned how to get into another person's mind and listen to their thoughts but it takes a lot of concentration and energy.

By the age of sixteen, we had almost completely mastered the power, and learned how to use less energy to listen to someone else's mind... When I say almost, I mean we only think we've mastered it.

But the things I heard... In my her mind, my mind, and the minds of others is not something I would want anyone else to hear. We had to learn that if we heard each others thoughts we couldn't answer them out loud because then people would think we were weird. Which we are but they don't need to know that. Anyways! We are still taking time to learn these things.

Honestly, if I can read a person's  mind, then shouldn't I be expecting something unordinary besides that as well? A werewolf should not have surprised me and freaked me out as much as it did. I think, rolling my eyes at myself while Riley looks at me with a smile after hearing my last comment.

"Fine" I huff out with a slight pout. She squeals loudly and claps her hands together super fast, making them almost blur together.

I laugh at her and smile, feeling better after everything that has happened over the course of a few days, I guess you could say this might be my time to relax ya know?

With that though in mind a smile on my face I walk down the stairs with Riley only to be greeted by something I didn't see coming.

So guys... Haha I know I haven't updated in forever and I'm sorry,  I also know that this chapter is really short and I introduced somethings awkwardly, so here's what I'm going to do... I couldn't figure out a way to get the girls' special powers in there so it went in awkwardly and I don't know how to fix it because I'm at a loss for ideas.
