CHELSEA'S POV
"What are you guys practising?" My Aunt Piper smirks and I wanted to scowl, but I hold back.
"For the final dance. I wanted to add these dances." I show them the list. "I wanted to dance the Jiley duets, but I didn't have a partner so Bryce offered." Cierra and Piper smile.
"I think it's perfect. We'll get the costumes as soon as we put all the dances together. Do you have anyone who could make the remix?" Cierra asks.
"Nicky is good with this sort of thing. She'll make it." Bryce explains.
"Continue dancing then. We have a half an hour till duet auditions." The two walk out and Flying comes on. I knew the whole dance off by heart, I'm guessing that Bryce knew too because he hit every move. We ended in the final position and I felt a way of new emotion wash over me. We stare into each other's eyes for what seemed like forever before pulling away from our embrace.
"Come on, let's head back before the others do." I pull him into Studio A. Zach and Jenny are chatting. "How are you guys?" I ask the couple, Bryce beside me.
"Where were you two and why do you have chocolate all over your shirt?" Zach chuckles.
"Long story. We were just practising the Jiley duets for the final dance." Jenny smirks.
"I'm glad you guys are getting along," Nicky smiled, walking up to us.
"Hey Nicky, I need to show you something." I pull my notebook out of my bag. I show her the page and her eyes scan over it eagerly.
"I need you to remix this for the final dance." She takes the page.
"This is amazing! I'll have it done by next week. I'll also download it on your phone if you like..." I hold back an excited squeal as I hug her.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" My bestie chuckles.
"I was also hoping you can record yourself reading the beginning and the end. I need the videos on as well." Nicky jots my ideas down.
"Of course. I just need you to grab some tapes. I'll get the Micheldon tapes." I high five her. Cierra and Piper walk in.
"Before the duets, I'd just like to tell you that we're going to have a fun night. Come back after duets in comfy clothes." The boys whoop and the girls laugh at their immaturity.
"Okay, Nicky and Brandon. You're up." Nicky and Brandon's duet was more upbeat and fun than romantic. I could feel Abi's jealousy. She needs to understand that Brandon likes her, not Nicky. I mean, the way he looks at her. The two finish and we applaud them politely.
"Good job guys. Jenny and Zach, your turn." The couple got into their positions. All The Stars came on and it begins quite slowly. It hits the hard bits and I can't help but smile. The two were truly meant for each other. Their lifts were perfectly timed and the connection between the two was obvious and natural. The duet finished and everyone went wild.
"We'll be back." Cierra, Piper and I head into the office. "Brandon and Nicky's duet was okay, but Jenny and Zach's duet is Internationals material." Cierra states.
