ABI'S POV

I attempt to shake off my nerves as I leapt shakily. I had my solo later in the afternoon. Five hours to be exact and I had never been more nervous in my life. I stare at myself in the mirror of the rehearsal room. I could feel my hands shake as my eyes scanned my body nervously. I wasn't ready and I don't think I'd ever be ready. Feelings of anxiety and pure fear crept through my body as I leapt again, panting like a dog.

"How's my beautiful soloist going?" Brandon walks in and kisses me on the forehead. I smile, still panting frantically.

"I could be better." I finally manage to regain my breath before plopping down on the floor. Brandon chuckles, sitting down beside me as I faced the mirror.

"You're going to be amazing and I'm going to be on the side of the stage, watching you and cheering you on with the rest of TNS." He wraps a comforting arm around my shoulder as I pull my legs towards my chest.

"That's what I'm worried about. Screwing up in front of Miss Riley, my mum, A-Troupe, B-Troupe-" Brandon places a soft kiss on my lips before helping me up.

"Why don't we have a bit of fun?" He smirks and I stare at him confused as he hooks his phone up to the speaker. 'Smile at the End of the World' comes on and Brandon grabs my hand, twirling me around. I giggle. "Let's dance." We continue to laugh and jump around. I felt so carefree and happy. I didn't need to pay attention to anything. I could've been about skydive from a million feet, I wouldn't have noticed because I have Brandon and he will forever be my distraction.

NICKY'S POV

I'm walking towards one of the vending machines near our dressing room when I hear yelling.

"You need to stop being so jealous, Zachary. I was simply helping poor Arvid with a problem." I could hear the hurt in Jenny's voice as she angrily hissed at Zach. Things were only escalating and as far as I could tell, I'd have to step in soon.

"Maybe if you didn't flirt with-" I step in, knowing Zach was about to end this conversation with a slapped face and a crying Jenny.

"Zach, don't say something you're going to regret," I warned, abandoning the vending machine and edging towards the furious young couple. Zach scowls at me.

"Nicky, stay out of everyone's business and stop taking sides. You only take her side because you're pretty much the same with flirting." I frown, gritting my teeth.

"Zach, you being ridiculous! Nicky and I don't flirt with multiple guys. Nicky hasn't found the right guy yet and I'm dating you! I'm not like that." Jenny tries to remain calm.

"Zach, this is all gonna end in tears if you keep going and you know that's not what you want." I manage to speak without scowling. Zach's face just glows red and scrunches up with anger.

"Nicky! Maybe if you would mind your own business, you'd finally have a boyfriend. Maybe you and Arvid should date so he doesn't steal my girlfriend!" The halls echo and fall silent. I watch Jenny tremble with tears. Zach's face immediately falls as he realises what he's done. Stupid boy. My blood boils as Jenny lets the tears fall.
