CHELSEA'S POV (AGE: TWELVE)

"How dare you like him!" I hear Amber's enraged yells from the Music Room. The studio was almost completely deserted, the only people who were meant to be here were Amber, Mum and me. Amber's practising a solo for a local competition this weekend. Amber's yelling continues as I sneak down the hallway, stopping just before the doorway.

"I'm tired of being your slave! I can like whoever I want, so I'm going to continue liking Zach!" My jaw drops. Jennifer has a crush on Zach?!

"You're a nobody without me!" Amber shrieks back furiously.

"No! You're a nobody without me! I do everything for you and never once was I thanked or comforted by you. You always get everything you want, you're Little Miss Popular with her stuck up attitude. I'm thinking for myself for once!" The room goes quiet as Amber storms out. I quickly duck into Studio B, watching her march down the hall. I turn towards Jennifer, who was crying wildly. She looks at me and laughs dryly.

"You've come to laugh at me, haven't you?" Jennifer wipes her tears on the back of her hand as I sit down next to her, smiling at her obliviousness.

"Jenny, Amber has seriously clouded your head. Amber is really jealous." She gives me a confused frown.

"Of what?" It makes me sad to see such a marvellous person think so meek of themselves. I grab her hand and lead her to a large mirror.

"See, you're beautiful. Zach likes you because you're truly sweet and amazing. Amber puts you down a lot, huh?" Jennifer nods sadly. "Well, she does this so you don't see that you are a remarkable person and dancer. You're truly kind-hearted. You just hang out with Little Miss Drama Queen way too much. Go talk to him, but take it slow." Jenny looks at her feet shyly. I grab her chin and lift it up. "Chin up Princess, your tiara is falling." Jenny bear hugs me.

"Thank you." Is all she says before she runs out of the Music Room excitedly. And from that instant, I had made a new friend.
