CHELSEA'S POV

Everyone was chatting in the studio, bags and suitcases spread out as we waited for the last couple of people to come. I watched as Mum hugged Dad goodbye for the one-hundredth time today.

"James, I'll be fine! Jeez, you're acting worse than I did when you left for London. It's only a week, Jay. As soon as I come home, we can go on a date, anywhere you want." Mum hugs Dad, stroking his back as he tightly hugged back.

"I know, but you've never been to Australia before and you're taking Jackson and the girls-" Mum cut Dad off with a soft kiss. She pulled away and smiled, looking into his eyes lovingly.

"And I'm the anxious one?" She giggles as the two playfully argue. Mum was completely fine. Me, however, had inherited my mother's usual anxiety when it came to these sorts of events and I could tell Dad was feeling it too. I try to shake it off, muttering to myself as my friends talked in groups. B-Troupe and J-Troupe were bonding with A-Troupe as I had my own mini panic fest.

"Hey." I turn to see Bryce. I felt my heart speed up even more as I sighed.

"Bryce, I told y-"

"I know, I just wanted to make sure you're okay. You seem a little troubled." He pulls me into an unexpected hug. I relax after a while and hug back, chuckling.

"A little?" Bryce begins to laugh too.

"Well, maybe more than a little." I sigh, closing my eyes and slowing calming down.

"You need to believe in yourself more."

"But I feel like I've been a horrible Dance Captain." Bryce pulls away and stares at me in disbelief. I ignore his strange looks and continue to talk. "I almost abandoned the team! I gave up on them and-" Bryce puts his finger to mouth and shushes me.

"Chelsea, this dance season, you've been nothing but an amazing Dance Captain. You got our team to get along, you came back after wanting to quit, you came up with one of the best performances of all time, you put up with some horrible people, you have some amazing organisation skills and you stand up for your friends and family. You have influenced this team to be what it is today. You're the reason why we're going to win Internationals." I feel my face flush with embarrassment and an unstoppable smile grows on my face.

"Bryce... Thank you." I grin, looking up in his startling green eyes. He gives me a cheeky smile back. Dad soon motions him over. I frown in confusion.

"I have to go, I'll be back in two minutes. Don't leave from this spot, Princess." He winks before kissing my cheek, lingering for a few seconds then walking off. Violet, Theo, Jenny, Margie and Nicky all walk over.

"Someone's in love." I giggle slightly before my smile disappears and a sigh escapes my lips as I brush a stray hair out of my face.

"If he wants this to work, he has to fix this."

BRYCE'S POV

"Bryce... Thank you." Chelsea smiles, her beautiful eyes twinkling under the studio lights. The moment is soon interrupted when James, who's standing with Luke and Derek, waves for me to come over. I sigh almost silently before turning back to Chelsea, who gives me a look of uncertainty.
