THIRD PERSON
After the Carson situation yesterday, A-Troupe and B-Troupe decided to have a chill day before the male solos. Riley had managed to convince James, with much reassuring, that it was safe for the troupes to go to the beach close by. Most of the J-Troupers weren't really interested, agreeing to go to a nearby park with the supervision of the two middle-aged dancers, but Chelsea knew that Laura and Jake were trying to convince James otherwise.
"Dad, please!" James chuckles, but remains stubborn while Laura whines, practically begging to go to Bondi.
"Look, Laura honey. Maybe when you're older-"
"But we're not going to be in Australia when we're older!" The younger dancer pouts and Jake chuckles, shaking his head. Jonathon, a B-Troupe dancer, laughs before making his way over to James.
"Yo James, it's all good. Kelsey and I can keep an eye on the little ones if they're really that desperate to go." Kelsey perks up after hearing her name.
"What am I doing, J?" The girl asks with an accusing voice. Jonathon puts his hands up defensively.
"We're going to keep an eye on Laura and Jake so they can spend time together at the beach." The B-Troupe boy smiles hopefully. Kelsey giggles, playfully rolling her eyes.
"Of course we will. Otherwise we'll never hear the end of it from Laura!" James glances back down at Laura, who is pulling puppy eyes him. The older dancer sighs reluctantly.
"Fine, but you two better stay with Jonathon and Kelsey." Laura lights up and squeals, pulling her dad into a hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you." She hugs him tightly before grabbing her crush's hand and running after the two older dance troupes, who were heading to the bus. Riley laughs as she sees the younger soon-to-be couple pushing to the front, bumping past her older sister and pushing her into Bryce.
CHELSEA'S POV
"Whoopsy, 'scuse me! J-Troupers coming through!" I hear my younger sister yell at the top of her lungs and I can't help but chuckle, shaking my head. "Move out of the way!" I receive a hard shove that sends me stumbling into Bryce, who is surprised and struggling to gain his balance. We both fall down and I land on top of him in a mess of limbs. My face ignites bright red.
"I-I am so sorry." I stutter, quickly standing up and brushing myself before getting on the bus.
"I saw that." Addison states in a sing-song voice, smirking at me and I bury my face in my hands, trying to pretend that the awkward situation didn't just happen. I sigh before sitting down, Margie sitting down beside me.
"Hey Margie, I forgot to ask how your date with Alec was. What did you guys do?" Margie flashes me a sweet smile before answering my questions.
"Hey Chels, yeah, it was amazing! We went to this really nice restaurant in town and at first it was awkward, but then we started acting like ourselves and goofing around. After that, Alec surprised me with a salsa lesson and it was very romantic." She sighs contently, a heart struck look in her eyes. I giggle, rolling my eyes at the starry-eyed dancer.
"Did you guys... y'know?" I ask in a whisper, not wanting to bring much attention to it as I saw him boarding the bus out of the corner of my eye.
"No, we haven't kissed yet." Margie replies, her tone only slightly changing as she seems disappointed. "But there's no need to rush, it'll happens when it happens." Alec walks over to Margie, giving me a knowing look before greeting her.
"Hey beautiful, how are this morning?" Margie blushes and I can't help but smile. They were adorable and they were obviously very happy together.
"I'm good, handsome. How are you?" She teases him and he chuckles, giving her a quick hug.
"Anyway, I was wo-" Alec was cut off.
"Alec, sit down over here, bro. We're leaving in a few minutes!" Chris calls from the back of the bus. I watch Alec hold back a groan of frustration as he turns back to Margie.
"Looks like I have to go. I'll see you soon, princess." Within a moment, Alec leant down and placed a sweet soft kiss on Margie's lips. He pulls back and winks before walking over to his friend. I gasp, my eyes wide open as Margie sits in her seat, fingers grazing over her lips.
"Well it happened when it happened." I shrug, a huge grin lingering on my face as Margie starts hooping up and down in her seat excited.
BRYCE'S POV
"Alec, sit down over here, bro." Chris calls out to his friend and I practically slap him on the forehead. "Ow! What was that for?" I roll my eyes.
"He's talking to Margie. He was probably going to ask her out, dumbass." I explain, watching as Alec's demeanour changes from joy to annoyance. He says goodbye to Margie and unexpectedly bends down and presses his lips to her. I try to freak out as slap the seat in front of me with excitement, shaking Brandon and Harrison with excitement. Alec then pulls away and walks towards us.
"Bro, oh my gosh! You finally did it!" I almost cheer for the boy as he takes his seat next to Christopher. He shrugs in a nonchalant manner, trying to hide how starry-eyed and joyous he was.
"I just thought it was a good time to finally do it." The rest of the trip to the beach is us cracking jokes and showing each other stupid videos.
"We're here!"
CHELSEA'S POV
The bus finally stops and I hop out of my seat.
"We're here!" Jenny announces and everyone cheers, racing off the bus after grabbing their gear. Everyone's hyped to finally spend some time in the Australian sun, not having to worry about dance or any drama. The beach is beautiful and the surf is up. It wasn't too packed and I couldn't help but admire how nice it was, taking in my surroundings. I turn back to the group with an adventurous grin on my face.
"Welcome to Bondi Beach."
