JAMES' POV
I walk into Lost and Found Studios and I see the boys.
"James." Shane gives me a bro-hug before I bro-hug Theo and John.
"So, who have you got to help us record?" Theo asks.
"Riley has had some experience at a record company, so I've decided on her," John smirks, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Shocker." He says sarcastically and I punch his shoulder. Riley walks in and I smile, wrapping my arm around her waist.
"Hey, Babe."
"Oh look, the queen has arrived." Shane bows and the others curtsy. Riley laughs at their immaturity but soon straightens up.
"So, who are our special guests?" Theo looks at her shocked.
"Wait, you haven't told her about-mph!" John quickly covers Theo's mouth and Riley looks at me quizzically. My phone dings and I quickly check the lit screen of my phone.
'We'll be there in ten. I have something to ask you.' I get a text from Derek.
"They'll be here in ten minutes." Riley nods.
"Brb, I have to go to the bathroom." Riley walks out and Derek and the band show up.
"Yo, James. What's up?" I grin. "I wanted to talk to you." He led me to a corner. "I'd been wondering, did you ever get the girl?" I smile casually, remembering our discussion over twenty years ago.
FLASHBACK
The music video filming just ended and I needed to talk to Derek, the lead vocalist. I'd talked to him before and we were pretty tight.
"Hey Derek, I need your help." I watch the rest of A-Troupe leave the set and I sit down on the couch with him. "There's this girl on A Troupe and-" Derek smirks.
"Let me guess, short shy brunette."
"How'd you-"
"Like I said, there's some obvious chemistry. Now what do you need?" I laugh.
"Okay, so." I look over at Riley, who was happily chatting with the girls. "This girl, Riley, is a really sweet girl. She's shy, sassy, strong, beautiful, funny, kind and she's the best dancer I've ever seen. The problem is I have a reputation of being a ladies man and she is extremely stubborn, dodging every move. I wanted to impress her because I'm slowly winning her over. She's a big fan of the band and she's too nervous to ask for an autograph." Derek smiles.
"Meet me in Studio A in twenty minutes." He leaves. I grab a drink from Squeezed and hang out with the boys. I head back to Studio A and see Riley sitting on one of the benches, sighing. I look around the room and notice the cameras still rolling. I smiled slightly, shaking my head before heading over to comfort her.
