After he had left I spent the rest of my day cleaning and organizing my stuff
Also, good news!!! My furniture was arriving tomorrow after noon! I wouldn't feel homeless anymore, though my thoughts kept distracting me
making me take longer if they hadn't.
I kept wondering and trying to remember anything from yesterday. I don't even remember waking up yesterday morning. I remember the day before but nothing from yesterday. Who was he? Was he lying to me? Did something actually happen between us? Why did he owe me so much?
These pondering thoughts kept annoying me so much and I needed to free my mind. I went through a couple boxes till I found it, my old guitar.
I sat on the floor in my living room. I played a quick tune to see how rusty I was and the guitars music echoed throughout the house. I liked it.
"Mhmmm." I began to hum.
"When my heart is slowly breaking,
Will you be there to keep me strong?
'cause I just need to knoooooow
Will you be there to so
I can lean on yooouuuu,
Yeahh."
My singing was interrupted.
"Wow your good. Bravo bravo. Encore. Encore" he said clapping.
I put down the guitar and stood up quickly. Maybe a little too fast because I felt dizzy and almost fell over. He ran to my side and kept me from falling.
"Well I guess I was there to let you lean on me. Win win for me." He said. And it was then that I noticed our close proximity. I turned my head and noticed his once blue eyes were a silver grayish color. "Your eyes." we both said at the same time.
He let go of me and we both took a step back. I hit the wall and leaned against it.
"What’s wrong?" I asked. He looked at me confused.
"Your name. Is... Is it really Everett? “He asks.
"Yeah. I mean but I always went by..."
"Eve" we both said at the same time again.
"Stop doing that! What’s wrong with you?" I exclaimed.
I slide down the wall to a sitting position, still eyeing him. Wait! How did he even get into my house?
""Ha!" he says rubbing his temples with his thumb and index finger.” hasn't anyone ever told you before?" he asks.
I raise my eyebrow. What the heck is he talking about?
"I am so confused right now!" I tell him. I put my head in my hands trying to ease this worsening headache. He walks over and sits in front of me.
"Well maybe I can help." he says.
I look up at him and notice something different about him.
"Your eyes." we both say again. Though this time I full on slap him in the face, and hard too. Hey I work out. Looking at his face I could still see a red imprint of my hand.
"What was that for!" he says, His now blue eyes lightening to a greyish blue.
"Ugh!! Stop saying everything I say, and at the same time. It’s creepy. Now answer my questions! How did you get into MY house? Why are you at my house? Why can't I remember anything from yesterday at all? And what hasn't anybody told me? “I say anger now radiating within me.
