chapter 5 part 2

I closed the door slightly and turned towards Mark. I take a peek in the one takeout bag and grab it. It was the Chinese food box.

"You need to go in your room. Stay there until I come out to get you. Stay quiet. “I say shrugging him away.

 

"Eve,” he tries to say.

"No go. Before he hears or sees you." I say.

I close the front door all the way and throw the flowers on the floor again diming the lights. I knew how to solve this. I was not going to let this end our relationship.

I hear very loud knocking on the door and jump. I run to my room quickly throwing my pjs in my closet and putting on a silk robe only leaving me in my underwear.

I open the door putting a huge smile on my face.

"Well hello." I say to Drake.

"What's going on? Why are there two cars in the driveway? Is there someone here? Why was that girl walking home? Eve say something." he asks. I pull the door more open and allow him to come inside. He smiles when he finally sees all of me.     “Eve?" he begins to say.

"There are two cars because my Camaro won't start so I'm renting the other one. It’s just us two here all alone. That girl was bringing us our food I ordered. Is Chinese all right?" I ask walking towards the kitchen.

"Yeah its fine. How did you know I was coming?  I told you I wasn't going to make It." he tells me.

I sigh taking out the two takeout boxes. "It was a good guess. I was just glad you showed up and I didn't waste my time with all of this. “I say pointing to everything. The lite candles, flowers on the floor leading to the bedroom, the dimmed lights and finally me dressed in the robe.

He grins like a mad man and walks closer to me till my back is hitting the counter. He wraps both his arms around my waist resting them right above my butt. He then presses his forehead to mine. I close my eyes and enjoy this sweet moment forgetting everything that has happened today.
