The wedding venue was gorgeous. As I looked around all I could see was beauty upon beauty. The venue was huge. The bride had apparently gone with an outdoor wedding. I usually disliked them but this one was very well planned.
The guest faced the lake. On the dock was where the bride and groom would be exchanging rings. I didn't realize it would be such a smaller size wedding. There were only about 150 chairs set up total. I was expecting a huge crowd though; I didn't know anyone, including my date, to know. It’s just seeing their house you would expect a lot more people.
As I took in everything that I saw I felt a tugging at the bottom of my dress. At first I thought it was Mark and I was about to thump him on the head with my purse, but no one was there when I turned around.
"Can you help me find my mommy?" I heard followed by a sniffle. I looked down apologetically to a little boy in a tux.
He was so cute. He had big bright green eyes and very curly blonde hair. He looked about three or four and in a way his facial features resembled a lot of Marks. I don't know why but I got this gut feeling in my stomach that this kid was Mark's. I probably shouldn't of had jumped to such conclusions since a lot of the people here were family.
I kneeled to his eye level and picked him up. He immediately rubbed he eyes free of tears and wrapped his little arms around my neck hiding his face in the crook of my neck. I rubbed his back soothing him.
"Of course sweetie. Let’s go find your mommy." I said in one of those baby voices.
I began to walk around looking for any moms in search of a son. Sadly I found none and on my search I started hearing deep breathing in my ear telling me he had fallen asleep. Poor thing he had cried himself to sleep. I awed at him for a moment then thought that since he was wearing a tux he might be the ring bearer.
