Here ya go, @__Nicole_Sama__

Dante wiped sweat from his forehead as he watched Nicole try to wave down a car.

To say it was going terribly was a understatement.

It was quite obvious neither of them had ever hitchhiked before.

Nicole trudged back to Dante after failing to pull over another car and plopped down beside him. "Welp. We're screwed."

Dante's phone had died, and Nicole's wouldn't turn on. And they were stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Ah, life was good.

Nicole pressed her nail against the power button of her phone, just willing it to turn on. "Please, please." She mumbled as Dante turned to look at her.

"Are you talking to your phone?"

"Do you have a driver's licence?"

Dante's face turned red as Nicole chuckled. "I thought we agre-"

"YES!" Nicole jumped up, but her face soon dropped. "Crap, one percent." She rushed to click on the first contact she came across, which was Katelyn. The phone ran a few times as they both watched anxiously.

"What's up, Nicole?" Katelyn's voice rang through the speaker.

"Thank Irene! Katelyn, Dante and I are stuck near O'khasis, on route 24! We need you to come get us!"

"Wait, wha-" Katelyn's voice was cut off and Nicole stared at her now dead phone. She opened her mouth to say something, but shut it and turned to look off in the distance. Dante sighed and fell back onto the ground, mumbling.

"Great." Nicole sighed, plopping back down by Dante.

And hour had passed, and Nicole and Dante had given up. A couple cars had passed in the last hour, but none of them stopped. The sun was setting, and had started playing I Spy at this point, out of desperation and hope that if they waited Katelyn would somehow come for them. Laying on their backs, they stared up at the sky since their wasn't much to see on the ground.

"I spy, something... green." Dante threw out lazily as Nicole giggled.

"Is it... One of the gazillion trees out here?" She guessed and Dante threw his hands up into the air.

"Correct!" He shouted and they both laughed. They continued to stare up at the sky, and Dante soon piped up softly.

"Hey, Nicole?"

"Yeah?" She turned to look at him. His dark blue hair was sprayed out in all directions, and his eyes were glazed over, staring up at the orange and red sky. He turned his head to look into her eyes.

"I'm really sorry." He sent her a small smile, and she smiled back.

"It's okay." She opened her mouth to say more, but she found Dante's lips on hers.

Her eyes widened but she kissed back, resting her hand on his cheek. He pulled her closer, cupping her chin as she felt her cheeks redden.

Suddenly, they heard a car honk loudly. Startled, they broke away and jumped up to see a laughing Katelyn and Travis. Travis wiggled his eyebrows at Dante who mumbled a "shut up" at him.

"Are you going to keep making out, or do you want to get in the car?" Katelyn grinned at them as they blushed dark red. They piled into the car and started off towards home, the car silent other then Katelyn and Travis' quiet laughter. Nicole stared at her hands in embarrassment, but suddenly remembered something.

"Hey, did you know Dante doesn't have his driver's license?"
