* Emma's POV *
I changed when I got home, telling Ingrid I'd forgotten about a project I needed to work on and hiding in my room. I grabbed my bag and started on my chemistry notes, failing to keep my mind off of Killian. About half an hour later there was a knock on my window, making me jump before leaning over to open the bay window by my bed.
"Hey," I smiled as he crawled inside onto my queen size bed. "How did you actually get up here?"
"Your oak tree goes right up to your roof," he said a bit breathlessly, making me giggle when he collapsed at the end of the bed. "Not as easy as it sounds. Looks like I have to get used to it, though."
"Well you can always use the door," I pointed out. "You don't have to scale the side of my house to see me."
"Eh, I don't mind," he smirked, taking off his shoes and setting them on the floor as I continued my notes. "So I did leave my jacket with you, that's what I thought."
"You forgot it when you dropped me off on Monday," I reminded him. "I would have brought it back to you at school, but some people didn't show up all week."
"Did you miss me?" He teased me and I couldn't help my small smile as I blushed. "Hey, Swan?"
"What?" I looked up just as he leaned forward on his knees to kiss me softly. "What was that for?"
"Y-you told me to stop asking," he said a bit nervously, moving closer and taking my binder off my lap. "So I'm not asking."
He pressed his lips to mine again and I sighed, sliding my hands to his shoulders as he kissed me more deeply than he ever had. I slowly laid back on the bed, pulling him with me so his torso was over mine and his hand slid to my waist. His tongue ran along my bottom lip looking for access I gave him after only slight hesitation, our kiss growing so passionate I could barely breathe.
I'll admit I didn't have much experience with kissing, but he was a seriously good kisser. He kept it slow and gentle, not trying anything, just keeping me close as my hand slid up into his hair. The way he kissed me just... made me melt.
"Well," I breathed when he pulled away to look in my eyes, trying to swallow the strange feeling in the pit of my stomach. "You certainly have taken well to the whole no permission thing."
"Well its just so much fun," he smirked and I giggled, biting my lip as I looked up at him. "I don't even know how to explain how much I enjoy kissing you, even just looking at you. You're so different from every other girl I've ever met."
"I know," I said quietly, suddenly self conscious. "Is that... okay?"
"It's wonderful," he said softly, brushing my cheek with his thumb. "You're wonderful. So profoundly and adorably beautiful I haven't been able to take my eyes off you since I first saw you."
"I remember," I smiled a bit. "I thought you were being creepy staring at me in the library all afternoon."
"Everyone thinks I'm creepy," he sighed. "I have no idea why you don't think the same thing."
"Because you're not," I said simply. "You're kind, and so sweet to me, and you only just met me. You're the best guy I've ever met, and I've been all over this country."
He smiled a bit, leaning back down to kiss me again. I could already tell kissing him was going to become one of my favorite things to do, even just having him close. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and pulled away, looking at him in panic.
"Hide!" I whispered and he scrambled to get up, giving me one more hard kiss before hiding in the closet just as Ingrid came in. "Hey, I told you I was studying. What's up?"
"I just thought I'd check on you," she said hesitantly as she came to sit at the end of my bed. "You're holding something back about that party, aren't you?"
"Yes, no, well maybe," I stumbled over my words then took a breath. "That's not the point. The point is that parties aren't my thing, hell, that group of people isn't even my thing. I just want to do what I've done everywhere else- lay low and keep my grades up so the next place doesn't think I'm a delinquent."
"Well what about boys?" She insisted and I had to bit my lip to try to stop thinking about how it felt between Killian's. "Relationships are important when you're this age, and you're not going to meet guys if you don't go out."
"Well maybe I don't want that kind of guy," I said quietly, hugging my knees and looking past her to the closet where I knew he was watching me. "Maybe I just want a sweet guy, one who helps me even though he barely knows me, and actually likes who I am instead of who I hang out with. Maybe I'd rather find a good man."
"You're seventeen," she reminded me like I didn't know how old I was. "Even I haven't found a man like that in this tiny town."
"I have," I whispered mostly to myself but she clearly heard me, her eyebrows pulling together with confusion. "Can I please just get back to work? My social life is going to be a mess now, I would really prefer my academic life wasn't as well."
"Fine," she sighed in defeat as she stood. "I'm going to bed. There are snacks and stuff in the kitchen if you get hungry later."
"Thanks," I half smiled. "And, uhm, thank you for checking on me. I'm not used to people caring."
She smiled and left, the closet opening just as the door shut. Next thing I knew his lips were on mine, almost tackling me backwards in the process of kissing me deeply. I made a small sound of surprise but quickly recovered myself, pulling him down by the lapels of his shirt. We fell back on the bed like before, kissing for a few more minutes before pulling away to look at each other.
"So you like me, huh?" he smirked, leaning on his elbow next to me with his other hand still on my waist. I turned bright, avoiding his eyes until he gently lifted my chin. "Don't do that, Swan, don't hide those beautiful eyes from me. I didn't mean to embarrass you, love, I-I really like you, too."
"You do?" I asked quietly. "Why?"
"When I can put it into words, I'll let you know," he smiled softly, brushing my cheek with his thumb. We spent hours talking, my homework forgotten on the floor as we lay together until we heard Anna and Elsa come in the house and realized it was three in the morning. "I suppose I should go, love, it's late."
"I guess," I sighed, trying to hide my disappointment. "Thanks for keeping me company."
"It was my pleasure," he smiled, kissing me softly until I was breathless. "And don't worry, Swan, you'll see me again."
"Don't disappear on me again, okay?" I sighed, sitting up on my knees as he put on his shoes and jacket and climbed out my window. "Promise me. Don't make me break something else on my car to get your attention."
"I promise you that you and I will spend more time together," he said seriously, putting his hand on my cheek and leaning back through the window to kiss me sweetly. "I'll text you, okay? We'll figure something out."
"Kay," I nodded, kissing him again quickly but deeply before just barely pulling away. "Be careful getting down, don't hurt yourself."
"I'll do my best," he smirked, making me smile a bit. "Goodnight, Swan."
He kissed my cheek and started climbing down, moving quickly and carefully. I watched him until he dropped to the ground, sitting in my windowsill long after he'd blown me a kiss and disappeared.
