*Emma's POV*
Saturday morning came and despite the fact that one of my so called friends had gotten me removed from the nicest home I'd ever had, I was beyond excited. Killian wouldn't be here until noon but I got up at dawn, making sure for the millionth time that everything was how my case worker had requested so that she couldn't take this away from me. I'd been staying in her guest room but we were to stay in the living room, you know, where there weren't any doors to be closed.
"You were up early," she commented when she got up around eleven, rubbing her eyes and watching me rush around. "I've never seen you so... excitable, you must really like this guy."
"I do," I confirmed, setting her coffee and breakfast on the coffee table for her just as there was a knock on the front door. "Crap, I should have known he'd be early. Can you stall him while I change?"
"Sure," she laughed lightly as I rushed to my room. I pulled on a loose floral tank top and shorts, unable to help my eavesdropping. "And you must be the boyfriend."
"Killian Jones, ma'am," he answered, a nervous edge to his voice. "Th-thank you f-for letting m-m-me see Emma, I kn-know it's against the r-r-rules."
"Not a problem," she said, sounding almost amused as I touched up my makeup and opened the door. "You're both good kids, and as long as it doesn't interfere with school I really don't mind... Oh, Emma, there you are."
"Swan," Killian breathed when his eyes found me and we both moved to join in a tight hug, his body relaxing as he turned his face into my hair. "Ugh, I missed you so much. That town is torture without you in it."
"I missed you, too," I sighed, closing my eyes and just letting myself enjoy being in his arms for a few moments before pulling away with his arm still around me. "This is my case worker, Andrea, Andrea, my boyfriend, Killian."
"We met," she smiled with clear amusement now. "I'm just going to eat and I'll be around, but you can do as you please. I would rather you stay here, though, if you don't mind."
"We'll stay here," I promised, following her example and sitting together on the sofa while she sat in the recliner to eat. "Oh, Killian, did you eat?"
"No, I was in a bit of a hurry," he smiled sheepishly, quickly grabbing my hand when I got up. "Don't worry about it, Swan, I can eat later. Just... s-sit with m-me a while?"
"Okay," I smiled a bit, sitting back down and curling into his side with my arms around his waist as he hugged me to him. He pressed a kiss to my hair and I sighed, snuggling closer to him. "Just let me know if you need anything."
"Just you," he said quietly, making me smile as he held my side firmly. I turned on the TV and Andrea soon finished eating, then going to shower. "Well, now that we're alone, may I kiss you then?"
"I told you to stop asking permission," I giggled and he smirked as I slid my hand to the back of his neck to pull him down to me. His lips met mine and I sighed, that feeling wiping away everything but him in that moment. "Mmm I missed that. We barely got a weekend together before I had to leave."
"I know," he sighed, only our lips separated. "Now I just want to hold you and forget about everything but having you in my arms."
"Come on," I said as I laid down and tugged him down with me, letting him pull me as close as possible so even our legs tangled and our noses brushed. "There, much better."
"Aye, that it is," he agreed, running his hand up and down my side. "Us being like this isn't going to get you into trouble, is it?"
"I don't know and I don't care," I smiled a bit, running my thumb along his cheek and noticed the dark circles under his eyes. "You look tired. Haven't you been sleeping?"
"Not very well," he admitted quietly. "I guess I just miss you too much, I don't like having you so far away instead of down the street."
"I'll be back soon," I told him again, kind of feeling like a broken record but humoring him. "I'm not positive where yet, but I'll be there, I promise."
"Let's just enjoy today," he half smiled and kissed me softly. He slowly deepened it, moving so his torso was on top of mine and gently biting my bottom lip. Every time we kissed like this I could barely breathe, it just always felt so good I never cared, but today I had to pull away. "What's wrong? D-did I hurt you?"
"No, not at all," I assured him breathlessly, swallowing hard in an effort to hide the fire he lit inside me. "I just... have to breathe before I let us go too far."
"Finding me rather irresistible today, are you, Swan?" He smirked, cocking his eyebrow suggestively but letting his eyes soften when I blushed. "Don't worry, love, I told you we can go slow. I know you're not ready, so I'm not going any further with you until I know you are."
"You're just too sweet to me," I said quietly, studying his eyes for a moment before pulling him back to my lips.
*Writer's POV*
When Emma's case worker came out of her office that evening she found the house dark, checking Emma's room to be sure they hadn't slipped in there but seeing it empty. The TV was on so she headed out there, finding something she hadn't seen the entire time Emma had been there. In the years Andrea had known Emma, she'd never known her to sleep well no matter where she was. She was always restless, having nightmares if she slept at all.
But now Emma was fast asleep on her sofa, looking more comfortable being held to her boyfriend's ches than she ever had. He held her back flush to his front, his hand held in both hers to her chest and his face tucked close to her neck as they both slept. Andrea knew Killian was supposed to be home by now, but they just looked so happy.
"Hello?" A woman answered when she tried to call his foster mother. "This is Mayor Mills, can I help you?"
"Hi, this is Andrea Smith, Emma Swan's case worker," she explained quietly, standing at the counter watching the two teenagers sleep peacefully together. "I just wanted to let you know that Killian is still here with me."
"Oh," Regina said with surprise. "Well thank you, I was starting to worry that he'd been in an accident on his way back. I'm sorry if he's over stayed his welcome."
"Oh he hasn't, not at all," she assured her quickly. "He's more than welcome to stay here tonight, if you're alright with it. I just wanted to check in and make sure you knew where he was."
"Thank you," she said again. "Just have him come home for dinner tomorrow, if you will."
"Of course," Andrea nodded more to herself, observing the two of them again for a moment before inquiring more. "If I can ask... has he been sleeping?"
"I honestly couldn't tell you," she said a bit guiltily. "He wasn't very social the last few years until he met Emma so he doesn't have very many friends. He's seemed tired lately but I thought he just missed her, why?"
"Because the way they're asleep together right now," she sighed, shaking her head a bit. "Its like neither of them has slept a moment this week. I know she's been restless, more than usual even, so I thought I'd ask."
"They're asleep together?" Regina asked quietly, not bothering to hide how much she cared about him for once. "Right now?"
"Out cold," she confirmed, snapping a quick picture of them and sending it to her. "Like an old married couple, I swear."
Sorry it's been so long, loves, I've had some... personal issues and I'm kind of an emotional wreck right now. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the chapter and I'll try to update again soon. Later, loves.
