"Now, we need to get to work. I'll need you to try and fight me with your skills so I know where we need to improve to make you better." He said looking at my waist.
"Okay, don't make fun of me if its not perfect though okay?" I asked desperately.
He looked me in the eye and said, "I need you to focus, but no promises!" He chuckled.
I began with a simple head lock, and tried to remember the move from crime and action movies that I used to watch. After I performed the move, I could tell that he was going easy on me considering it was my first time performing the move. He was easily put down so that I could wrap my arm around his neck.
"Okay, good, I'm glad you know the head lock because that's going to be a very handy move. Now, it's time for me to approach you in a different scenario." He said as he stood up and re-adjusted his position, looking at my waist.
He began trying to pull me down and tried pulling the dagger out of my pocket that Joan had given me. I knew it was time to do the move, so when I started to put my arms in position around his neck, he pulled away quickly and I felt his hands digging for the dagger again and he almost had a grip on it, but before he grabbed it I gently punched him in the gut.
"Great! I love that you know that if one move doesn't work, then to try another. That's a great lesson! As for the punching part, good job not actually punching in the gut, I will give you a dummy to practice on so you can get faster and improve your strength. But, don't worry about that yet, for now we will just practice going through the scenarios." He said with his hand on my shoulder.
"Now, let's begin with a different scenario."
