"What I need you to do is begin with a simple upper-cut move." He said looking at the dummy with his arms crossed.
I too looked at the dummy, got into position, and performed the move as best I could. When I took the swing to the dummy, it made a creaking sound and moved back and forth.
"Good! Now, try it again, except this time try punching a little harder when you get to the top where the bottom of the chin would be." He said while I got back into position.
After I performed the move, the dummy made an even louder creak and really was moving around. Jess began clapping and yelled, "Excellent! We will be fighting for Patricia back in no time!"
He gave me a big bear-hug and said, "Now, this time let's practice and under-cut."
We practiced for a couple of hours with different moves, then he said that I was ready to fight against anything.
"Now, we need to turn you into an Outcast before we fight Joan for Patricia back. Then, you'll definitely be ready for anything." He said as he looked into my eyes. I noticed that he did that a lot, I wondered why... Maybe he felt the same way that I felt.... As if he was more than a protector.
