I looked up at him and his shiny blue eyes looked into mine as he said "It will be okay. Trust me."
I looked down the steps and began walking. He held on to my hips as we walked down the steps to the basement, and I was feeling the walls for a light switch.
We were both silent as we walked down into the basement, and it felt like forever before we finally got down to the bottom and I could find where the light switch was sticking out of the wall.
When I turned on the light, there were thousands of lights lit up down here, however they were all very dull.
"The lights will be dull at first, but once they heat up a little bit, they'll be brighter." He said.
We walked down a hallway that led to a room with lots of weapons.
"Do you still have that knife that my mother handed you?" He asked.
"Yup. It's right here." I replied confidently, digging it out of the pocket of my blue jeans.
It was a little dagger not big enough to fight with, but good enough to do some damage with. It had little serrated edges and it was brand-new with a shiny tip.
"Good, that is your dagger in case someone is holding you down. You need to be able to defend yourself. I have a pistol that you will need to carry around at all times as well Sierra, this fight will not be pretty." He said with his eyes gazing into mine.
