He finally stopped sprinting and let me down off of his back that he had threw me upon.
He looked at me and said, "We are almost to Joan. You walk too slow."
I look at him and ask "Wait, what?? I thought you were running from that girl."
"What girl? I didn't see one. I guess it was just your imagination." He said.
Then Jess picked me up again and began walking into a tunnel it was completely dark. I kept thinking about that girl that I had seen. Why was she following me? What did she want? And why didn't Jess see her?
"We are here. It's just at the end of this tunnel." Jess was so excited that he was practically yelling.
"Okay, but can I ask you a question?... Who's Joan?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't explain earlier, but she's my mother. She's the leader of the arena. She'll explain everything to you and your mission. Everyone including me have been waiting for you ever since you were born to come and join us. We are your family now."
As we exited the end of the tunnel, I saw a lady smiling at me and she had a knife in her hand held out to me. Jess let me down his back as she said "Let's begin."
