"Dad, when are you coming home? I really miss you." Caleb said over the phone.
Y/N took a deep breath and ran his hand through his hair. "I'll be home soon buddy. I love you Caleb."
"Love you too dad."
After the phone call ended, Y/N quickly wiped his eyes. "Are you alright son?" His dad Daniel asked.
He shook his head. "I don't know what to do dad."
"Just listen to your heart. I know it sounds stupid, but it's the truth. I hate to say it, but Kendall needs you. Caleb definitely needs you."
"But dad, i-" "No buts. Just listen."
Y/N nodded.
"Do you trust me?"

Caleb sat alone outside, his only company being Gus. He threw the ball to his dog and watched as Gus ran.
His mom was somewhere inside with Gigi and Hailey. They all were getting ready to go somewhere. All Caleb knew was that Corey was coming to watch him.
Ever since Y/N left, Kendall hasn't acted the same. Caleb won't admit it, but he has too. Almost every day, he's done something to make Kendall mad. He doesn't know why he has though. That's the one thing no one can figure out.
Gus came running towards Caleb, but he ran right past him. "Gus!" Caleb yelled.
He jumped up and chased after his dog. The dog ran through the hallway and into the living room. As Caleb turned the corner, he bumped a table. He caused a picture frame to fall to the ground. He didn't pay attention to it and continued to run after the dog.
Kendall, Gigi, and Hailey all heard the sound of glass breaking, causing them to run downstairs. "Caleb?" Gigi called.
Gus ran towards the three, dripping wet with the ball in his mouth. Kendall bent down and picked up the frame. She took a deep breath before turning over the frame.
It was the first picture that Kendall and Y/N ever took together.
Caleb ran back into the living room and stopped once he saw his mom and her friends.
"Gus, drop it." Caleb commanded. Gus dropped the ball.
"You were chasing your dog?" Kendall asked.
"We were playing." Caleb said as he walked over and picked up the ball.
"I told you that I didn't want you to chase your stupid dog in the house." Kendall scolded him.
"He's not stupid..." Caleb mumbled.
"Because of you broke the rules, you broke a picture frame!"
Caleb didn't say anything. Kendall was about to speak, but stopped. "D-did Mason really break the picture frame upstairs?"
Caleb looked up at his angry mother. "No."
"So you let Mason lie, just so you wouldn't get in trouble?" Kendall asked.
"I didn't let him! Him and P decided to do it!" Caleb replied.
Kendall was taken back by the attitude in Caleb's voice. "Go to your room."
"I-I'm sorry mom." Caleb said, looking down at his feet.
"Caleb, obey and go to your room. I will tell your father about what happened."
Caleb turned and slowly began up the stairs.
"I want dad back. He would listen to me." He said softly.
"What was that?!" Kendall snapped.
"Nothing." He replied.
Caleb ran the rest of the way up the stairs.

Caleb laid on his bed looking up at the ceiling. He knows he shouldn't have let Gus inside, but he was trying to get him out.
Once Kendall let's him out of his room, he was going to apologize.
"Maybe you should make her a card."
Caleb looked around. No one was there. He sighed and sat up. He got off of his bed and walked over to his desk. He found a piece of paper and started to color on it.
Once he was done, he got off the chair and walked towards the door. He quietly opened it and peered out.
"Mom?" He called.
No answer.
He quietly snuck out and went downstairs. He heard voices in the kitchen and started in that direction, but stopped once he heard the sound of crying.
"Ken, he didn't mean to break the picture."
"It's not just about the frame Hailey."
"Then what is it?" He heard Gigi ask.
"I don't know why he's like this. Ever since Y/N left, he's tried to make me mad every day! And it works!"
"Ken, he's just upset. He misses his dad and he's taking it out on the wrong person." Gigi tried to calm her.
"He's not the only one who's upset! Its been almost three weeks and I live in fear everyday, not knowing if tomorrow I'll still be married."
"K-" "You know, I think that maybe if he didn't baby him and made Caleb go to his game, everything would be okay. He wouldn't be staying at his dads, only calling a couple of times a day, and...." Kendall broke dow
Caleb looked down at his picture as tears fell on to the sheet. It's his fault dad's gone. It's his fault mom's crying. He ruined everything.
He dropped the paper and ran back upstairs.
Kendall heard him running and quickly got up. "Caleb?
She was answered by his door slamming upstairs. "Oh no..." she said softly before running after him.
Gigi and Hailey were going to follow her until Hailey spotted the paper on the floor.
"G, come look at this."
Gigi walked over as Hailey picked it up.
On the paper was three stick figures. Two were tall, while one was smaller. One of the figures had a briefcase in his hand while the other was what in they guessed was a red dress. The smaller one was holding a small heart in his hands.
"What's on the back?" Gigi asked.
Hailey turned it around and bit her bottom lip.
She handed it to Gigi, who soon had tears forming in her eyes.
To Mommy
I love you
From Caleb

"Caleb, please let me in." Kendall begged from the outside of the door.
There was no answer.
On the other side of the door, Caleb was laid out on his bed, wiping his eyes.
He made mom and dad fight. He WAS the reason Liam never came back.
Caleb hates seeing his mom cry, and he doesn't like knowing he's the reason why.
He looked around his room, until something caught his eye. He got out of bed as his mom continued to talk from the other side of the door.
He picked up a envelope and looked it over. Caleb's learning to read, but could clearly see his name in the middle.
He looked in the corner and sounded out the letters.
Once he figured out the name, he smiled. He knew what he was going to do.
He's gonna go get his dad back.
That way, him and his mom both will be happy.
