"Feisty pants, I want my usual."
❝Still not my name, but coming right up.❞
"I told you my name, so it's only fair I get your name along with my order. Am I right or am I right m'lady?"
❝You told me a letter from the alphabet. If I recall correctly.❞
"Hardy har, that joke was yesterday news. Tell me something I don't know, like your name. You didn't see that just now, but I totally winked at you."
❝Nerissa.❞
"Bless you?"
❝Piss. Off.❞
"Wait that's your name? Nerissa? That makes so much sense to why you're working there. Your name is just as odd as the name of the Cafe."
❝Excuse me?❞
"Nerissa the barista by day and stripper by night. Only works for Cafe Grind and is the best looking one there."
❝First off, not a stripper. Second off, you don't' even know what I look like.❞
"Well, tell me then. Describe what the feisty pants, stripper barista looks like."
❝Bland.❞
"...What? You already took my order of my bland coffee, as you call it. We're on the topic of you."
❝No, I'm saying I'm...bland. There's nothing really that stands out. I have normal features.❞
"Come on, that can't be true. There has to be something that you think pops out."
❝When I smile, I have dimples that are visible, but if I'm being honest I don't think that's different. Other people have dimples too.❞
"You're not that insecure are you?"
❝...❞
"You really think you are bland?"
❝Compared to my older sisters, yes in fact I do.❞
"Why? What do they have that you don't?"
❝They get compliments from everyone about how pretty their greens eyes are, how their blond hair flows just the right way, and then there's me. Brown eyes. Brown hair. Bland.❞
"Who cares if your older sisters got the genetics that are from a novel to make the character more appealing to others. I rather have the character with regular eyes and regular brown hair because she's different. A good different."
❝You really mean that?❞
"Of course I do."
❝...❞
"Nerissa? You still there?"
❝...Thank you. Goodbye.❞
"Huh, you hung up, again. I did hear you whisper thank you so at least I know you heard it. I guess there's more to the barista than I thought."
