"...You haven't been answering my calls."
❝I've been busy.❞
"With?"
❝Things.❞
"Nerissa..."
❝You're moving to New York in a week. You're questioning whether or not you want this relationship, I am not going to sit around and wait for you to decide.❞
"I told you I needed time to think. I want to make sure that we'll be able to make it through long distance."
❝We will.❞
"How do you know that?"
❝I don't, but I'm choosing to believe in us.❞
"If you don't know then you can't possibly have that much faith in us."
❝How come you don't? It's like the dynamic argument all over again Quentin...❞
"I cannot believe you're still on about that! Get over it! It's been a month! Yes, I was an ass back then, but this is different!"
❝Different as in we are in a relationship that you don't know if you want to continue. When you make your choice, call me. If you don't know...don't bother.❞
"..."
❝Goodbye.❞
"Wait-"
❝No. I'm not going to wait anymore. Goodbye.❞
"Nerissa..."
❝...❞
"Bye."
* * * * * *
❝Oliver, can you come over?❞
"More sniffles, I see. Alright, I'll come over in thirty minutes. I am going to stop by the store, grab you tissues, and your favorite ice cream."
❝Thank you...❞
"Anytime. Now, I need your permission to kick his ass don't I?"
❝Yes and the answer is no. I just want the company of you right now.❞
"Company you will get soon. However, I do have to say that he's a major idiot. Either he needs to make this work or he needs to stop leading you on."
❝Or...I could just try and forget about him. Tell him that maybe if he ever moves back to California we could try again. Would that sound okay?❞
"A lot can happen depending on how long he's there for."
❝I know. I am okay with that. I want a change. Maybe it'll be a good change.❞
"Maybe. Look, I am in the car and I shouldn't be talking and driving, so I'll meet you at your house."
❝Okay, drive safe Oliver.❞
"I will."
❝See you soon, goodbye.❞
"Goodbye...ah, you already hung up. I guess I should be honest and say that what I said to Quentin back then when I first met him...I wasn't lying."
