CHAPTER 28

ELISSA

There was only one thing on my mind as Blake and I walked together through the woods:

Am I ready for this?

I swallowed and put my head down as we walked. So I was a little scared to see his wolf considering last time I saw it was that night and I didn't want to be a punk pass pussy anymore.

Now don't get me wrong; I adore wolves, always have. Just something about a man turning into one still kind of freaks me out; my whole life I spent believing that werewolves were myths. I shook my head and looked up trying to get rid of that thought. Werewolves are real get over it Elissa.

I looked at Blake who was sporting a boyish smile as we were walking. I raised my eyebrows and smiled with him, "You excited or something?"

He looked down and scratched the back of his neck smiling bigger, "Uhh," he said blushing a little, "I just like being with you."

That caused me to blush and look forward; but my smile didn't lessen, in fact, it got bigger. I was flattered that he thought about me like that, and the fact that he didn't feel the bond right now made it that much better.

Suddenly, Blake stopped and I paused to look up at him. His eyes were filled with excitement but his hands were fidgeting like he was anxious about something. Guilt filled me up to my throat; he was probably anxious that I would reject him all over again.

I saw his eyes dim a little as he looked away and scratched his chest. I tilted my head to the side; he has been doing that a lot. I wonder if it was a nervous habit of his like when he fidgets his hands.

"Do you always scratch your chest when your nervous?"

Blake snapped his head to me, eyes wide and hands suddenly to his sides, "N-no, it's just you know," he cleared his throat, "It itches sometimes I guess."

I smiled at him, "Flees?"

He narrowed his eyes at me but could not hide his smile. I let out a giggle and looked down again. I don't know why, but something about Blake makes me feel like a giddy little girl inside; it's kind of gross.

"Okay," I heard Blake say. I looked up at him to see him taking off his shirt, "I have to get naked to do this."

I nodded and turned around blushing a bit more when I heard his clothes fall to the ground. I rocked back and forth on my heels preparing myself for his wolf.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

I chuckled a nervous chuckle and shrugged, "Yeah sure whatever yeah."

I heard Blake snicker and I flipped him off while I was still turned around.

Then I heard the wind change in speed and a thud on the ground. Something in my heart knew that a wolf was standing behind me. I closed my eyes and held my breath for a moment trying to tell myself that it was just Blake.

I heard footsteps behind me and nudge at my back and let out a breath. I balled my fists at my sides and straightened my back still telling myself that it was just Blake.

Then I felt a wet nose and a tongue on my fists. I relaxed my shoulders and unclenched my fists as I felt Blake's head underneath my palms.

Come on Elissa, it's just me.

I gasped as I heard Blake's thoughts again.

I slowly turned around with my eyes still closed. I heard another soft thud and thought that maybe Blake was sitting down patiently.
