CHAPTER 8

Elissa

Kissing Blake was like taking a leap of faith. My heart was still pounding and my hands were shaking involuntary. I couldn't stop smiling even though I just did something that was so unlike me; I've never done that before, I mean sure guys have liked me before at school but I never had time for that kind of stuff. Relationships were too much work and seemed like they dictated your life. I was going between foster parents and I needed to take care of school before I even thought about boys.

Now here I am kissing one that I don't even know that well.

I gulped and walked to the kitchen. My thoughts of Blake quickly disappeared as I found Daniel smiling at something his girlfriend was saying. He looked like he was in love and that made me smile.

His girlfriend was so beautiful: she had blonde hair and blue eyes with a rocking body; she looked like a model and carried herself ever so gracefully.

"Hey guys," I announced with a huge smile on my face.

Daniel snapped his head towards me and smiled back, "Hey Elissa," he threw an arm over his girlfriend who was looking in my direction, "This is Sarah my girlfriend."

I smiled at her, "It's so nice to meet you."

She smiled in return, "You too! I've heard a lot about you."

I frowned, "That doesn't sound good." I glared at Daniel who chuckled.

"All good things," he assured.

Sarah giggled, "You sure are pretty."

My eyes widen, "Me? Look at you!"

Sarah blushed a little at my compliment and Daniel sighed studying her, "Yeah," he muttered.

"Awh," I said looking at Daniel, "I'm glad you have the power to keep him on his toes," I winked at Sarah.

She turned towards Daniel mirroring his look of love, "Yeah always up for surprises."

"You two are cute together," I adored.

I heard footsteps and turned around to find Blake walking towards us.

"Hey Sarah," he greeted with a smile.

She looked taken back, "You sure are happy."

I frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Well Blake here always has a frown on his face," Sarah explained, "You know he's a real," She paused trying to look for the right word.

"Asshole," I offered.

Daniel burst out laughing and Sarah nodded leaning closer, "That's what I call him; behind his back of course."

I laughed at Sarah and Blake scoffed, "Seriously? That's her nickname she gave me."

Sarah chuckled and Daniel rolled his eyes, "It's better that dickweed."

I threw my head back and laughed before giving Sarah a high-five which she gladly took, "Kudos Sarah."

After that little chat Sarah and I were talking to ourselves while Blake and Daniel were just staring at us. Pretty weird actually.

"So do you want to go shopping tomorrow?" Sarah asked hopefully.

"Of course," I smiled at her while nodding, "Do you want to go Blake?"

I turned towards Blake and he smiled, "Yeah sure. I don't care."

Sarah

"Yeah sure. I don't care," responded Blake.

I smiled at my Alpha; it's so nice to see him relax and I'm definitely enjoying seeing him so happy with mate. He couldn't make it more obvious.

Elissa, man was she gorgeous, and she was so nice! Normally the power gets to a girls head when they become Luna but she seems like a great person.

She'll make a great Luna.

Blake looked utterly in love with Elissa already. His elbow was propped on the kitchen counter and he had his chin resting in the palm of his hands while he looked over at Elissa with a smile on his lips. He sighed as Elissa turned around playing with her hair while talking to me still.

I turned towards Daniel who was staring at me the same way. I smiled at him loving how when I spend time with him it's like the first time. He still gives me butterflies and he still makes me feel like the only girl in the world.

I reluctantly turned towards Elissa who yawned, "What a day."

She rubbed her eyes, stretched by expanding her arms out and arching her back. Blake looked over at Elissa and blushed and quickly looked away. I almost burst out laughing but bit my lip to stop myself.

Don't bite your lip.

I didn't have to turn around to know who said that and was staring at my lips. I didn't listen deciding it would be fun to tease him.

While keeping my eyes trained forward I mind linked my mate.

Or what? Will I get punished?

I heard a growl and turned towards Daniel with an innocent smile. His eyes darted towards my lips and he pulled me closer.

"Well I'm calling it a night," Elissa mumbled, "Goodnight everyone."

"Goodnight," I said with a smile, "It was nice meeting you."

She nodded and smiled, "You too. See you tomorrow."

"Goodnight Elissa," Blake said to her while staring yearningly at her.

"Goodnight," Elissa smiled.

Then she turned and walked away to her room. Blake sighed with his eyes still trained on the spot where Elissa left.

I giggled and he turned towards me with a curious look on his face, "What?"

"Someone's in love," I teased.

Blake gulped and blushed. I remember how Daniel used to do that when he first met me too.

"It isn't obvious is it?"

Daniel gasped, "What? You love her?"

I slapped Daniel playfully, "Well duh Daniel. Did you see the way he looked at her?"

Daniel's face flushed, "Well no, I was too busy looking at you."

I rolled my eyes at him even though my heart was pounding and my cheeks turned red. I looked over at Blake who was rubbing the back of his neck, "You think she likes me? I mean she did kiss my cheek today but I think she thinks of me like a brother."

I frowned then realization dawned on me, "Oh that's right she's human," I whispered, "I can talk to her tomorrow if you want."

Blake snapped his head to me and nodded, "That would be great!"

I shook my head and added, "You do realize I would have to get her alone so you would have to let her go for a while right?"

Blake frowned, "No."

I chuckled, "Then she won't tell me anything if you're around."

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "Can't I be a few feet away?"

I rolled my eyes but nodded anyways, "Sure."

Blake smiled and jumped up, "Well I'm going to bed. It was good seeing you Sarah," he said cheeringly and raced to his room.

I laughed, "I remember being like that," I turned to Daniel, "You know when we first met?"

Daniel nodded, "I remember."

I bit my lip, "Now what were you saying about that punishment?"

Daniel groaned, "Sarah," he warned then picked me up and raced out of the house to his place eagerly. I giggled and clutched onto Daniel tightly.
