Alpha Blake

"Look at them! Aren't they beautiful?" Elissa cooed.

We were currently sitting on the bench near the wolf exhibit where Elissa was going on and on about the two wolves. She was practically at the edge of her seat and kept jumping around. I sat back, propped my elbow on the bench frame, and rested my cheek against the palm of my hand staring at her not caring about the two wolves in the cages.

"Yeah," I whispered. She sure is beautiful. She turned to look at me so I turned my head the other way looking at the wolves.

Crap, she almost caught me.

"You know my favorite animal is a wolf," She announced. I snapped my head to hers.

"Really?" I grinned.

This just got a little easier. My wolf chimed in purring.

She nodded and smiled, "They're so strong and beautiful. I love how they run in packs and mate for life."

I probably looked like a kid on Christmas morning when she told me this. This is great! Now when I tell her I'm a wolf maybe she won't freak out as much!

I nodded, "Yeah they're pretty great," I replied looking back at the wolves.

Wait.

I stood up to get a closer look. I walked to the bars separating the wolves from the humans and examined the wolves. One thing caught my eye right away; these wolves were abnormally large.

As a sudden realization dawned on me I tried to hold my laughter; inside the cage were two of my pack members. I smiled and coughed trying to get their attention.

The wolves perked up and looked in my direction then seemed to cower down.

"Look! They're looking at us!" My mate whispered standing by my side and clutching my arm in excitement. I tried to remain calm as desire swept through my entire being. One touch and I'm melting? Seriously?

Alpha? A voice asked in my head. My attention went back to the wolves who were on their feet looking very embarrassed.

Why are you here? And who's that? Colton, a young teenage werewolf asked. He was one of the many jokesters in the pack along with his dad and his best friend, Brian who was standing right next to him. I knew they were funny but I didn't think they would go this far.

This is my mate, Elissa. She wanted to see go to the zoo.

Luna! Brian exclaimed as he bowed her head in respect.

Guys! You're at a zoo, act like wolves! I commanded looking around to see if anyone noticed two wolves bowing at my mate.

I looked back to find them prancing around trying to act normal. I chuckled and shook my head.

Weirdo's. I joked. They looked back at me and gave a wolfish grin.

 Is she human? Colton asked.

Yes.

Colton laughed in the mind link, Way to go genius you just bowed at a human. He told Brian.

Brain scoffed, I was showing respect! He tried to defend himself but I could tell he was embarrassed a little.

The owner of this zoo was Colton's father and whenever young members needed some money they would shift into their wolves and spend the day here for human's enjoyment. I've always thought the idea to be very humorous.
