CHAPTER 22
ELISSA
"Elissa, did you just read my thoughts?"
I opened my eyes, my brain still quite fuzzy from the high I was feeling. Damn that strain that Cody showed me was freaking amazing.
I looked up at Blake who looked so beautiful standing there looking down at me, "You said it out loud?" I said more like a question wondering why he was being weird.
He shook his head, "No baby girl, I thought it."
I shook my head back at him, "Oh god Blake you're tired, you're saying shit, you're drunk. Go home." I felt Blake shift me in his arms before continuing to walk up. I didn't even get the chance to say goodnight to him before I passed out in his arms.

Waking up the next morning felt like such a breath of fresh air; I felt more rested than I had in years. I looked at the time and was shocked to find out that it was only seven in the morning. I shrugged and got out of bed to get some water since my throat did feel a little dry and my head was also hurting a little from dehydration.
I saw that I was still dressed in the same clothes from last night so I decided to keep the t-shirt on and switch out my jeans for leggings. Then, I headed out of my room and went straight to the kitchen where I already saw Blake standing over the stove making what smelt like bacon.
I audibly sniffed the air and sighed, "Damn Blake," I announced sitting in a chair next to the kitchen counter. I saw Blake continue to flip the bacon on the stove but gave a little smile as he watched the bacon closely as if he knew I was already here, "Smells good dude."
He finally lifted his eyes and looked at me, continuing to smile, "Thanks. There's some water over here if you would like some."
I sighed once more and got off the chair to Blake's side to get the water, "That's exactly what I need right now actually."
Blake chuckled and went back to looking at the bacon, "So how does this work with pot? Is it like a hangover or what?"
I shrugged and went back to the chair I was sitting in drinking my water until finally responding, "I heard it varies from person to person; some experience really bad headaches and some still feel high the next day. I think it really depends on the strain."
I saw Blake nod and I took another gulp of my water, "I see," he said, "Well, I wasn't too sure but bacon and water are my cure for a hangover so I decided to get that for you."
If he could see me right now I would be grinning from ear to ear at him; Blake's such a sweetheart, "That's really nice Blake," I started and walked back over to him, "People who drink coffee to cure a hangover are fucking stupid anyway."
Blake nodded and laughed at me, "Yeah, it would do them some good if they realized that part of the reason for a bad headache and sore throat is dehydration."
I hummed in approval as I took another gulp of my water while nodding along. I set my water down and looked down at the bacon, "This looks good."
Blake turned towards me and flashed me a smile, "I don't know how to cook much but I think I do well in the breakfast department."
I chuckled at him and patted him on the shoulder, "You keep surprising me Blake; definitely not your average Joe."
Blake snorted at me, "What did you have in mind?"
I shrugged, "A good looking player who doesn't know how to cook because he expects the woman to do it?"
Blake frowned at me and stopped what he was doing and looked at me seriously, "So what you're saying is I'm not good looking?"
