CHAPTER TEN
Elissa
Our shopping time was cut short thankfully as Sarah and I both announced we were tired.
"Finally," Daniel groaned out, "Five hours of shopping!"
Sarah scoffed, "That's nothing."
Today, I had learned many things. One, I love shopping. It was something I never did and never really got to do I either provided for or not provided at all with other families. This was a nice change for me. Two, Sarah is probably a long lost sister of mine. Enough said.
And three, Blake likes me.
The thought has been eating me alive. I dared to make eye contact with Blake and when I rarely did I felt awkward. When I asked Sarah if she was sure she assured me she was positive.
I groaned; things couldn't get more complicated!
I mean Blake liking me isn't a bad thing but we live together! Not to mention this is practically my first contact with a male relatively close to my age! I don't know how to act, I don't know what to do, I mean I'm new to all of this!
I shrugged the problem off as quickly as it came and set my determination. I would just find a job, find a house, and get out of Blake's hair.
I looked at Blake in the corner of my eye; I could feel his stare on me all day and if it wasn't on me then it was towards the ground.
He's been acting weird; his posture was stiff though his shoulders were slumped and his hands were stuffed in his pockets. He had a frown on all day and barely talked.
I didn't know if this was something I never noticed before because I don't really "notice" Blake. Maybe he just didn't like shopping.
As I made eye contact with him his eyes quickly fell to the floor. I sighed deciding to ask about it later.
I shook my head.
Come on Elissa. Nothing has changed.
"Alright well were going to be going," Daniel announced pulling Sarah closer to him, "Meet you guys at the house?"
I nodded smiling and waving them a goodbye as they walked towards their car holding hands.
"They're a cute couple," I whispered to Blake smiling.
Blake looked at me and nodded, "The cutest," he said huffing. He turned on his heel and took long strides to his car. I frowned but quickly caught up.
This time he didn't bother opening the door for me making me wonder what his problem was.
"Wait," I told Blake as I turned in my seat to set the shopping bags down in the backseats.
Blake had turned the ignition on anyway and sped off causing me to ram my shoulder in my seat.
"Ow," I choked out as I quickly fumbled back in my seat holding my shoulder, "Blake what the hell?"
Blake clenched his jaw as he continued to speed off. Seriously?!
"Blake you just hurt my shoulder!" I whined.
Great now I sounded pathetic.
I don't care he's acting like an ass!
When he didn't respond I scoffed, "God will you quit acting like an asshole?" I snapped.
Blake snapped his head towards me. I flinched at the anger radiating off him, "I am not an asshole!"
"You sure are acting like one! What is up your ass?" I yelled rubbing my shoulder.
