SUPER IMPORTANT Authors Note- I redid the last two chapters, towards the end. I changed some major things up. I am so sorry, I am sure this is very confusing, but I really want Arsen to be the best that it possibly can be. If I end up being unhappy by a choice I made I am going to change it, but I promise to let you all know.

So, I highly recommend you go read the last two chapters in order to understand this one.

Thanks for reading-

Melxx

.........................................

Arsen was finally here, he had texted me not long after my family settled into bed for the night to let me know. I had just gotten out of the shower when he texted me and I told him to give me a minute.

I quickly changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top before rushing back to my room. Arsen was standing on my balcony, his hands were shoved into the pockets of his leather jacket, and a cigarette dangled from his lips.

I grabbed the throw blanket off the end of my bed and wrapped it around my shoulders before walking onto the balcony with him. I breathed in the scent of the cigarette. While the scent used to repulse me, it was now comforting.

"Hi." I whispered, going to stand next to him.

Arsen took the cigarette from his lips and blew out a puff of smoke. "Hey."

"Thanks for coming." I told him, trying to break the silence and awkwardness that was settling between us.

"What did you want to talk about?" He asked, taking another drag of his cigarette.

"Anything," I responded. "I don't care what we talk about, I just want to talk."

Arsen looked incredibly frustrated and annoyed. For a second I was intimidated and questioned whether or not asking him here was a good idea. I wanted to save our friendship, but if he didn't, what was the point in him being here?

"I can't do this here," Arsen muttered, instantly deflating any hope I had of fixing things. "Can we go somewhere else?" He asked after a minute.

I knew it was late, but he was talking to me, finally. I have never been the type of girl to be desperate for a boy's attention, but Arsen wasn't just a boy. He was my friend, I needed him, and I had the sneaking suspicion that he needed me too. You could tell just by looking at him that he was troubled.

I don't think he had a whole lot of people in his life who cared. He had his brother and he had his sister, when he allowed her into his life, but I wasn't sure he had too many friends outside of his family.

I nodded. "Okay, where do you want to go?"

He didn't answer me, he just headed for the stairs and glanced back to make sure I was following him. I didn't question his motives, I knew I should, but I didn't. We jogged across my lawn and down the sidewalk until we came to his mode of transportation, the shiny black motorcycle that belonged to his brother.

"Ah the death trap returns." I whispered.

Arsen handed me his helmet again and hopped on, waiting for me. I carefully climbed on behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. I felt him tense under my hands and I loosened my grip a little. He grabbed my wrists and pulled me tighter against him.

"Hold on, you don't want to fall off." He mumbled before revving the engine and flying down my street.

It was just as exciting as the first time. The night seemed to make everything feel new. All I could see were the different colors from street lights, houses, and different shops as we whizzed by them. I didn't know how fast we were going, but I had a feeling he was speeding. The bike felt like it was moving much faster than before.
