Bahja🤘🏽~

"Nope that ain't how I want it." I popped my gum.

Everybody on my team groaned. "I'm getting fed up with your shit Bahja. Everything is perfect, you're just being stubborn." My mom snapped.

"The piece isn't even straight, and the letters are way too big."

"So we'll straighten it and make the letters smaller."

"No it's missing something else..." I stared at the cover art, "it's missing... It's missing someone."

"Someone?" They all asked confusingly.

"Bahja, your selfish ass can't even have someone else's background vocals on your song... Yet you want a whole nother person?" My mom asked.

"I agree with her Bahja." Cairen stated, "the song is perfect with just you on it. We mess around and spend time trying to find your perfect someone for this song, and you're gonna turn around and say you don't want it."

"No, I know what I want... I know what I need. This needs to be a duet."

"A duet? You?" Rick laughed.

"Why are y'all acting like I can't have a duet?"

"We aren't saying you can't, it's just unlikely that you would want to do that." Bree stated.

"I'm gonna do it. I have my mind set on this, and it's what I'm gonna do."

"Alright... We can't do anything but support you on it, who exactly do you have in mind?"

"I'm not sure... I need a girl though."

"Are you saying you need a girlfriend, or a girl for the track?" Cairen asked with a raised eyebrow.

"A girl for the track." I groaned.

"This is a love song though..."

"And it would be stupid to have a guy on the track. I'm gay. Are y'all not getting that?"

"We got it... For the past 6 years we've had it." Lourdes patted my back, making everyone laugh. I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever."

"But seriously, this album should've been finished and out for pre-order. Who do you have in mind?"

"No one in the music business... I want someone fresh... Who hasn't had a chance to put their music out yet.. I wanna have auditions, to find the perfect girl with the perfect verse."

They all looked at me like I was crazy. This time my manager stepped up.

"You're shitting me. We don't have enough time to do all of that, your album needs to be ready and out before the year is over." He stated.

"And we have what? 4, 5 months? It's gonna be finished, just chill and let me do this."

"We've been chilling and letting you do things on your own way too long now. The label--"

"I don't care what the label wants." I snapped. "This is what I want, it's my music, how I choose to put it out, is my business. The label isn't running shit over here. I told y'all too many times, you're not gonna walk over me and play me like I'm dumb. I know what I'm doing, leave me alone and let me do it."
