"I mean, the album is done and out. Do you see how sales are? We're #1 in over 80 countries."

Bahja picked me up and spun me around. I screamed and laughed. "I seen it girl. It's amazing." I looked her in her eyes, "thank you for all of this... If it hadn't been for you giving me this opportunity, me and Lauren wouldn't be here right now... We'd still be in that apartment in a badass neighborhood."

"You know I'd do anything for y'all. I would like to thank you too, for showing me things in life. Letting me know that there's more to it, and for helping me realize that everyone is not like me and they don't have to be."

I smiled and kissed her cheek, "I'm glad you finally realized."

"We gotta go do this toy drive..." Bahja reminded me.

"Oh yeah." I got out of her grip, "umm, I got these clothes while Lauren and I were packing. They're too small for both of us." I handed her the bin.

"Before we go... I've been meaning to ask you something." She put the bin down.

"Wassup?" I turned to her.

"The album release party is coming up on Saturday... And I was wondering if you'd like to be my date?" She asked.

"No."

Her smile faded, "n-no? What--"

"I'm just kidding. I'd love to be your date."

"You almost gave me a heart attack."

I laughed, "Lauren!! Are you coming with us?" I called upstairs.

"With who?" She came to the top of the balcony.

"Bahja and I. The toy drive is today."

"Oh yeah! Let me get my purse, I'll be down in a minute."

"Come on, the driver is waiting outside." Bahja stated.

"You go ahead, I gotta grab a couple things and lock up."

"Okay."

She made her way outside and I grabbed my purse, making sure to put my phone and keys inside. Lauren came downstairs and gave me a sincere look.

"What's wrong?"

"I know that this whole fame thing is starting to catch up... But can you promise me you won't let it change you? You'll still be the same cool, fun, and humble girl you're known to be? And we'll visit college park to see our friends right?"

"I would never let anything or anyone change me Lauren, and that's my promise. Of course we'll visit them, we can have sleepovers and everything. Just let me know when you want to see them."

"Alright, and do I have to change schools? I wanna finish my 8th grade year with my Gang."

"Yeah I guess..."

"I can take the bus if it's too much."

"No, I'll take you and pick you up."
