"Josh, Lauren is gonna kick your ass if you eat all her pop tarts."

"These good girl. I ain't never had these."

"You've never had a pop tart?"

"Not the red velvet kind. I always get the chocolate ones."

He sat on the couch next to me, "oh! I meant to show you this."

He pulled out his phone and unlocked it. I watched him go to his pictures and he handed me his phone.

"You should really go to that. That'll be a huge change."

He was showing me some flyer for a singing position for a singer. I stared at it and wondered.

"Josh, I can't sing."

"Bitch you better stop it." He laughed, "you can blow girl. Stop denying it."

"I don't know."

"Think about it. When you wanna go, just let me know because I'll take you."

I nodded. It was 11am and we were sitting in my apartment just chatting it up. Josh had stayed the night over and as usual, he kept me up all night.

Lauren's room door opened and she came out. I looked at her and knitted my eyebrows.

"Why are you here and not at school?"

"I didn't feel like going today. Plus I couldn't face Jeremy." She sat on the couch and pouted.

"Why not?"

"Alyssa told everyone that I gave Ryan head to get back at Jeremy... Which isn't true at all. She's just mad. Ryan told everyone it wasn't true and Jeremy said that he knows that's not me... But I still don't wanna see anyone."

"You should beat her ass." Josh stated.

"She already did, but violence is not the answer. You're running away from your problems and that's not what we do. You should've went to school and let them folks know wassup."

"Yeah true, but sometimes I just need a break from it." She eyed Josh as he ate the poptart, "is he eating my pop tart?"

"Girl your fat ass ain't gonna eat all that."

"Yes I am, you don't know me like that."

"Yeah whatever."

"Y'all... When I die, what will y'all remember be for?" I looked at them.

They stared at me and I waited for them to answer, "your grind... You always make a way for people no matter what." Lauren commented.

"That damn bun on your head." Josh stated, "I'mma be like, aww that girl with the bun? Yeah she dead."

Lauren started laughing and I shook my head before laughing too. They are the most goofiest people ever, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I love them and that'll never change.

"Ohh, Lauren." He pulled out his phone, "don't you think your sister should do this?"

He handed her the phone and she looked over it, nodded afterwards. "Yeah, I mean... You used to love singing. I don't know why you stopped you have a really great voice."

"I stopped when mom and dad died, it just didn't feel the same anymore."

"Well maybe that's why you should continue it, mommy and daddy would be proud of you. I'm sure they're looking down on you and seeing how amazing you're doing." Lauren stated, "I know I would be."
