Chapter 1-

*Alice's POV*

Just like always I was running late for my lesson. Not that I was in a hurry or anything, my next lesson being maths and all. I shut my locker, and walked off in the direction of maths. I rounded the corner at the end of the corridor to find myself on the floor, books everywhere. I had walked into someone, great.

'Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there' i looked up to see who was talking to me, and was greeted by a cute face, and a mess of dirty blonde hair. He put his hand out to help me up, and I gladly took it.

'No no, its fine. I didn't see you either! I don't think I've ever seen you around before though?'

He shook his head, making his hair bounce up and down.

'No, Ive just moved schools, its my first day here actually. And I think I'm lost already.' He said quietly, I almost couldn't hear him.

'Oh! Im Alice and you are?'

'Connor.'

'So Connor, where are you heading?'

'Maths, Room 12, do you know where it is?'

'Yeah! We are in the same maths group!'

'Thank god. At least I will know one person.'

'Well we best be off then, the teacher gets really grumpy when Im late... Which happens to be most days.'

'Wouldn't want to get off on the wrong foot now would i? How about you lead the way?'

I had the best maths lesson of my life. Connor and I spent the whole time talking, and having a laugh. He was shy at first, but after a while he opened up. He has a pet bearded dragon called rex, and a hamster called harry, and they are the cutest things ever! (He was showing me the pictures earlier) I said to Connor I would meet him in the canteen for lunch, and I could introduce him to a few other people. He said he had moved schools with his friend Brad as too, so I was looking forward to meeting Brad as well, not quite as much as my friend Amber though.

'What do you think he will be like? How did Connor describe him again?' Amber asked me for what seemed like the millionth time.

'Amber for goodness sake I cant remember! Brown curly hair, sings cant you just wait till we meet him? Look were here!'

We walked into the canteen and I saw Connor sat at a table with some other guy. I guess that would be Brad. I looked over to Amber and the expression on her face told all.

*Amber's POV*

As soon as Alice pointed out Connor, I couldn't stop staring at the guy who i guess was Brad, and god was he good looking. His hair was the perfect curliness and his smile made me melt inside. I think I would have stood there staring all day if it wasn't for Alice

'Come on Amber! Are you coming or are you just gonna stand here all day adoring Brad?'

'Im coming I'm coming, just give me a sec to make myself presentable okay?'

'Come on, its lunch! Not afternoon tea with the queen!'

I took a deep breath and walked over to the table and sat down opposite Brad.

*Alice's POV*

The moment we sat down I could tell Brad and Amber would hit it off, they both love playing guitar and singing, and would be so cute together.

'So Con, enjoying your first day here' I asked, leaving the love birds to themselves.

'Its been better since I met you.'

I could feel myself growing redder. Since when did boys have this much of an effect on me? I looked up at Connor and just gazed into his ocean blue eyes, and started feeling queasy inside. He was just too cute for words. And he was the perfect height for me too, being a few inches taller. Im getting way to ahead of myself, he probably doesn't even like me that way, I've known him for less than a day. Stay calm, just stay calm.

*Ambers POV*

Brad and I were getting on like a house on fire. He was hilarious, and so easy to talk to.

'So amber, do u play any instruments?'

'Yeah I play guitar, and sing a little...'

I suddenly just heard Alice coughing and saying her breath 'A lot, Shes amazing.' Gosh does she know how to embarrass a girl.

'Haha really? I play guitar too! Con, me and two of our friends actually have a band, called The Vamps, you should check us out on youtube right Con?'

'Yeah, we are actually playing at a friends party tonight if you guys wanna come?' Connor said, looking directly into Alice's eyes. I looked over to Alice and winked,

She turned to me 'you up for it? Id love to go!'

'Yeah we will be there!' I said to the boys

'Can we bring a couple of friends?'

Connor answered without a second gap. 'Of course! Hey Alice, could I have your number so that I can text you where and when?

'Sure!'

While they were talking I couldn't help but look at Brad and smile. He leant forward and whispered in my ear 'we have to get them together.' He pulled back and I mouthed definitely at him. I would be lying if i didn't say i got a tingly feeling when he was whispering in my ear. This was gonna be a good night.
