*Connor's POV*
I walked into the hospital and walked to the same ward I had the DNA test yesterday from. My life would be a hell of a lot easier if I had never been with Emma. I would never have maybe got her pregnant, and i would still be with Alice. Gosh i cant seem to stay away from alice. I nearly kissed her earlier. Damn the stupid phone call. Damn it to hell.
I walked up to the reception desk and asked where I was meant to go, the receptionist directed me to Room 72 which was on the left of the corridor. I knocked on the door, heard a 'come in' from the doctor. I took a deep breath, and opened the door. I walked in and took the seat opposite the doctor.
'Thanks for coming in at such short notice, but I thought you would want to know the results as soon as.'
'Its totally fine, I'm glad you called.' I could feel my palms getting sweaty.
'If you don't mind me asking, what would you consider to be good news Mr Ball?'
I thought about it for a minute. If i was the father then that means that emma wasn't lying which is good, but it means i cant be with alice, and the other way round if I wasn't the father. And i didn't know if I wanted to be a dad yet. Someday definitely. Just not now maybe. And I wanted to be with Alice so much it hurt. She is all i need right now.
'I think, good news would be if i wasn't the dad.'
The doctor nodded and flicked through some papers, writing things down. I knew only a few seconds had passed, but it felt like hours. My whole life depended on what the doctor said. So saying i was a little worried would be an understatement. I looked up to see the clock ticking, second after second. I heard the doctor shut his book and so i looked at him.
'Well Connor. It looks like its your lucky day.'
I was shaking. 'You mean.'
'Your not the father.'
I jumped up out of my seat and ran over to the doctor who had stood up by now and hugged him.
'Thank you thank you thank you thank you!'
'No problem, just be more carefully next time son okay?'
I nodded and sprinted out of the hospital.
I had to tell Alice. But i needed to talk to emma first. There was some explaining needed. I decided to text Alex, then remembered that she was on her date with tris, and chose not to. I just got on a bus and went to Emma's.
I got to Emma's house and knocked on the door. I had got over the excitement of not being a father, and was just pissed off now. Emma's mum opened the door.
'Connor? I haven't seen you in a while.'
The switch flicked and boy was I angry.
'Yeah I know, the thing is your daughter called me a week or so ago asking to meet up and she told me that she was pregnant, which she is, but she told me i was the father. And that was utter bullshit. And now I'm really annoyed because i broke up with my new girlfriend who i am so deeply in love with that i can barely cope not calling her mine and its all Emma's fault. So if you don't mind could you let me through so that I could talk to her!'
Her face dropped. 'Shes upstairs.'
'Thank you.' I strode over to the stairs and went up them and went over to the door which i knew was Emma's. I slammed the door open.
'Mum what the- Oh hey connor!'
'Don't hey connor me Emma! You lied to me. The baby isn't fricken mine!' Her face looked terrified. And i could tell from her face that she knew the baby wasn't mine from the start.
