*Alices POV*

'What? Are you being serious?' I didnt even need to ask Connor. Just from the look on his face I could tell he wasn't lying. He wouldnt lie about that to me anyway.
'You cannot tell Amber.'
'But she one of my best friends! How can I just not tell her? She will kill me if she finds out i knew!'
Connor stood there and thought for a minute. 'Im sorry. Your gonna have to not tell her, if Amber or Brad find out that you know about this we are both dead.'
'What? Why?'
'He told me not to tell anyone, then he stormed off.'
I was confused. 'So why did u tell me then?'
Connor looked around and pulled me out of the canteen and into the corridor just outside.
'I needed to tell someone Alice, and your the only person I trust with this. Please dont tell Amber. Im begging you.'
I looked in those blue eyes, and found myself nodding. He smiled and pulled me in for a hug. Despite all the crappy stuff happening around us, I felt safe in his arms, and the moment was pure bliss. I could smell his aftershave, and I wanted to stay here forever. But I knew I should get back to the others. I reluctantly pulled away.
'I should go back, are you gonna go and find Brad?'
'Yeah I will, I will see you later though okay?'
'Yep,' I said grinning at him. I couldn't help but smile when it was just Connor and I. He waved, and we both turned around and went our separate directions.

*Connor's POV*

---After School----

I was sat up in my bedroom. I had spent the last 2 hours doing homework, and was now lying on my bed staring up at the ceiling, thinking about life. I had gone to find Brad at lunch, and found him playing guitar in the music room, so I thought it was best to leave him to sort his feelings out by writing a new song or whatever. I wanted to go and see Alice. I have come to realise that Im crAzy about her. She makes my life feel better, and when we were hugging earlier, it felt right. I needed to talk to her about the whole Brad situation, and I was sure that he liked Amber, not this Louise girl he's dating. And I suppose it was a good excuse to go see her. I sat up grabbed my phone and ran downstairs.

'Mum, Im going out, I will be back, erm whenever?'
'Okay sweetie, let me know what your are doing.'
'Will do, bye mum.'

And then i walked out the door. It was freezing outside even for November. I was seriously glad the walk to Alice's house wasn't very far.

*Alex's POV*

I had agreed to meet Tristan a couple of hours after school, so I had some time to make myself presentable. I walked into costa, and saw Tristan sat in the corner of the coffee shop, coffee in one hand, phone in the other. I went up to the front of the shop, and ordered my drink, deciding I should jump up on Tristan, doubting he would notice if I came up behind him. When my coffee came, I snuck up behind him, put my drink down on a nearby table, and crept up so I was about a foot away from him.

'Don't even bother trying Alex.'
My mouth fell open. 'How did you know I was here?'
'I saw you coming through the door! I just wanted to know how u would get my attention...'
'Why you little meany.'
'I think you will find Im rather big, especially compared to you.'
'Take that back.'
'Never.' He said smirking and taking a sip of his coffee.
'Oh I see how it is.'

Game on Evans. Game on.

*Connor's POV*

By the time i reached Alice's, my whole body had gone numb from the cold. I shakily knocked on the door, and waited for an answer. A minute later, the door opened. And stood there were Katy and Amber? Damn. I forgot it was their girls night. Damn, damn damn.

'Erm hey connor...' Katy said.
'Hey'
'Don't mean to sound rude, but what are you doing here?'
'I just wanted to talk to Alice, but its fine I can go.'
Amber spoke 'no its fine! Alex is out with tristan anyway so you may as well stay, Im sure Alice wont mind' they looked at each other and giggled... Was I missed something?

I heard footsteps down the stairs and Alice appeared, a puzzled look on her beautiful face.
'Guys who was at the- Connor?'

*Alice's POV*

I was upstairs getting the blankets out for girls night, when I heard the doorbell go off. Katy yelled that she would get it, so I carried on my job. But when I could hear the girls talking downstairs with another voice, I thought I better check it out. I walked down the stairs,
'Guys who was at the-Connor?'

What was connor doing here? I mean I was glad her was here, more than I could ever say, i just felt so unprepared, I was in my fleecy pjs and had my hair tied messily up in a ponytail. Not my best look.

'Hey alice, I just came over to talk to you, but if your busy then its fine I can go.'
Amber added 'but we've told him he can stay.'
'Of course you can stay Connor! I, i mean we would love it if you stayed!' I hoped no one noticed my little slip up, but I guessed not from the looks katy and amber were giving me.
Changing the subject i asked 'shall we go watch a film then?'

'How about bridesmaids?'
'No katy, its boring! Whats your idea Amber?'
'Letters to Juliet!' Really again?
'Seriously? We watch that film every time u come over! I think we should go with a horror film.'
'Yes!'
'Yeah!' Amber and Katy said, going to sit down on the other sofa.
I turned to Connor who was sat next to me. 'Connor?'
'Sounds great!' He said smiling at me.
'Okay then! Horror it is!' I put fright night into the dvd player and resumed my place next to Connor. I grabbed the bowl of popcorn and a blanket, placing the popcorn on the middle table and handing the blanket to Connor.
'Come on Alice, i don't bite' connor said, patting the space next to him. I signed and moved myself along the sofa so i was cuddled up into him, and he put his arm around me. I cuddled up close to his chest and the movie started, and he placed the blanket around us. This moment was perfect.
