*Alices POV*
(The next day, Saturday )
(Transcription of the girls phone call)
ALICE: Hey Alex how are you?
ALEX: I'm great, ps thanks for letting me be your taxi driver last night I actually had quite a good time to be honest with you!
ALICE: yeah I saw you and Tristan dancing away together (laughs)
ALEX: You can talk! You and Connor looked like you had been to the moon, come back and were now having a celebration party!
ALICE: Great detail there Alex, so what you doing now, I'm so bored
ALEX: not much really, I'm sitting in front of the TV watching Pointless, I'm bored too as you can tell!
ALICE: wait a sec, ill add Amber into the call... Hey Amber
AMBER: wassap ma peeps
ALEX: good morning to you too!
ALICE: Sooo, what's the situation with you and Brad, spill the beans sister
ALEX: ooh I want to know too!
AMBER: Well me being me, I freaked out cause of his perfectness and went outside, Brad followed me and I stupidly started blabbing about how much I liked him and... He kissed me!
ALICE: HE WHAT!!!!
ALEX: OH MY FRICKING GOD NO WAY!!!
AMBER: yes way, I'm so happy!!!!
ALICE: so you should be Amber!
AMBER: so what happened with everyone else?
ALICE: Not much, just staring into Connors gorgeous face the whole night while Alex over there made a new best friend with Tristan
AMBER: Aw that's so cute!
(I heard mum calling me from downstairs)
ALICE: got to go guys Byeee see ya Monday
AMBER: bye
(End of phone call)
I literally pounced off my bed and trundled downstairs in a weirdly good mood, and mum could tell.
"What are you so happy about?" She gave me that look that mums always give.
"Nothing in particular" Lie.
I grabbed my lunch that she made me, picked up my phone and walked out the door to the park.
It was a quiet walk, not many people about. Just a few children on scooters and playing tag. I got to the park in just under 10 minutes so not too long a walk. I sit down on a dry patch of grass and plug in my headphones. Soon I was interrupted by a familiar face coming down to meet my level.
"Hey!" Connor smiled at me making my heart flutter.
"Hey how are you?"
"Great , you?"
All this small talk continued for at least half an hour before Brad, Tristan and James came and joined us.
"How is thou doing on this fine winter morn" Tristan had a way with words that for him just seemed to fit with his normal crazy self.
"I'm great Tris haha" I took out my earphones so I didn't come across to them, especially Connor, as unsociable.
James and Tristan seemed nice enough, they didn't go to our school so I won't see them as much as the others. I focused on Connor. Today he had his messy hair messier than usual, (in fairness it was Saturday), he was wearing a navy blue hoody and worn out jeans. And even in such "loungy" clothes as my teachers would regard them, he looked surprisingly good.
I probably looked awful to him! I hadn't got any make up on, my hair had literally just been thrown into a bun and I had on some jeans, concert t shirt and a rain mac. If I knew Connor would be here I would have made such a big effort. I focused on eating my lunch so I didn't make a fool of myself staring at Connor.
*Connors POV*
Sitting here next to Alice made me happy for once. More than happy actually it made me feel exstatic. It also gave me something to look forward to about school!! She looked so relaxed sitting in her Lawson concert tshirt. Good band.
...
I sensed that she was uncomfortable around the guys and decided that we should leave. To be honest I wouldn't want 4 people coming up to me at 11 o clock on a Saturday morning either!
"Bye Alice! See you monday"
We all said out goodbyes and as we left I glanced back at Alice and sneaked in a smile.
TEXT CONVERSATION:
CONNOR: sorry about that 😞 xx
ALICE: what ?? X
CONNOR: all of us bombarding you early on a Saturday morning! I sensed we were unwelcome! 😞 xx
ALICE: oh no not unwelcome I just didn't want to look like an idiot infront of all of you :/ xx
CONNOR: oh right haha xx I thought I made you uncomfortable
ALICE: never 😉 xx
This made me one happy Connor.
