Chapter 41-

Chapter 41- Alex's POV We were all in the garden eating breakfast. Well, apart from Tris who was still sleeping and nobody could be bothered to wake him up. Oh well. I accidentally knocked Brad's arm and he got jam on his nose. Casually he flicked some back onto my face. "What was that for? It was an accident!!" He shrugged. So I gave him another dollop of jam on each cheek. He squinted at me, as if trying to appear menacing. Yeah right. But then he threw a bun in my face, jam and all. "FOOD FIGHT" Katy shouted before getting a handful of whipped cream and smothering James. Alice grinned evilly at Connor before throwing her cup of water right into his face. And then it was on. I briefly teamed up with Amber to get Brad and James with buttered bread but then she hit me with a croissant. We were all laughing and shouting when Tris ran out. His hair was still ruffled from sleep but he looked properly pissed. "A food fight? And I wasn't invited??" He asked. We all stopped and looked vaguely guilty before Katy shouted out "She started it!" Oh. She was pointing at me. Before I could deny it Tris had rushed me and thrown me over his shoulder. "Well well well Alex. What to do with you" he said calmly as I freaked out over what he was going to do. Brad (so helpfully) picked up the jug of water we'd been using and brought it to me. "3....2....1..." And then 2 litres of water was thrown over my head soaking me to the bone. It had also gotten Tris but he didn't seem to mind, in fact he was laughing. And then he did the most unexpected thing. He kissed me. "Good morning" he said, smiling. Katy's POV "Hurry up Alex get packed we're leaving soon!" Alex had been acting like she was in a trance ever since this morning. Jeesh. The Can We Dance video was finished and we were all feeling pretty great but now we had to leave. Although at the rate Alex was packing we wouldn't leave until next week. "C'mon Alex it's not that hard...Oh I give up. Have a shower Alex. You still have jam on your cheek." Alex quickly smiled at me before grabbing some spare clothes and trundling off into the shower, her hair still dripping wet. I started to pick up the mess that constitutes as Alex's floor before I heard some rhythmic knock at the door. "Knock knock" I turned around to see James leaning against the frame of the door. "Who's there?" I wittily replied "Your knight in shining armour" James said with a bow. I laughed to myself and carried on packing Alex's things. James entered the room and walked over to me, hands in his pockets. "So..." he said rocking back and fourth on his heels. "So..." I replied back. After he didn't say anything for a few seconds I stopped what I was doing and looked up at him. "Are you alright!?" "Yeah, just came to see if you needed any help" he gave me a slight smile. "Have you seen Alex's room?!" I asked rhetorically. "No not really there's too much stuff everywhere" "My point exactly!" We both burst into a half hearted fit of laughter and battled our way through the horror of Alex's room. Let's just say she doesn't exactly pack light *Connors POV* "Hurry up guys we're going!" I shouted up the staircase,and I handed the collected pile of suitcases to the driver who would be taking us all back to Tris' house. We were going to stay there for a few days as a kind of "first-video-complete" party Tired of calling for the others I went and claimed my seat next to Alice in the car. "Hey" "Hey" she said back, and leant her head on my shoulder. I linked my hand with hers and gently played with her fingers. We sat there in comfortable silence for a while. It was nice to get some time just the two of us even though we weren't doing or saying anything. I listened to her breathing and lost track of how long it had been when Amber and Brad came tumbling in, Brad trying to catch Amber... Ohhh he was trying to tickle her! Amber was going full out to get Brad off her, kicking and screaming, but Brad was too strong and he just sat, leaning over her, laughing. After a minute or two, when Amber had given up, he stopped, leant down so his head was on her stomach. "Don't give me that look Brad!" Amber said sitting up and pushing Brad off. "You two seem very lively today" I said as I cocked my head at both of them. "You don't" Amber replied before manoeuvring herself so that she was facing me (AN basically she was sitting backwards in the seat). "Just tired" I said before fixing my hair, which I hadn't been bothered to fix this morning "Aw this rock star life too taxing for you didoms" Amber said in a sarcastic "baby voice". I stuck my tongue out and her and turned back to Alice. "You okay?" "Mm hm" She slightly lifted her head off my shoulder and planted a gentle kiss on my cheek, frustratingly near to my lips... I still feel that roller-coaster feeling every time we kiss or every time she looks into my eyes.. It was in this moment I remembered why I loved her; that girl who literally bumped into me on my first day, who I spent my maths lessons with talking about Rex instead of learning some algebraic equation that I will "need to know" later on in life, the girl sat by the tree in the park with her oversized Lawson concert t-shirt. All these things made Alice and are the reason I love her. *Alex's POV* Once I had a jug of water thrown over me, I decided it would be a good idea to get Tris back. I 'stormed off' towards the house, and ran upstairs towards the room tris and I had been sharing, heading to the bathroom, and shutting the door behind me but not locking it. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, and assuming they were tris' i picked up the shower head and stood near the on button. I heard the door to the bedroom open and I tensed myself for action. 'Lex, come on it was just a bit of fun! Where are you?' I heard tris calling, but stayed silent. I could hear the sound of footsteps coming closer and closer towards my position, and as the door handle began to move, and open, I pressed down on the button that turns on the shower. Tris walked in just as the water sprayed out in all directions, and hit him right in the face, water cascading down. 'WHAT THE HELL ALEX!' I couldn't help but giggle. Fatal mistake. Tris stormed over through the spray of water, grabbed the shower head, and turned it on me. I started to scream, then realised i was already wet from the jug. Tris turned off the shower and put it back where it was meant to be, then turned to me. 'Well alex. What am I going to do with you?' I smirked and laughed at him. 'Good question tris. But i just want to know the answer.' Tris took a couple of steps forward so that he was just inches away from me. 'Well I have an idea of how to start.' I looked puzzled. 'Alex, will you be my girlfriend?' I smiled, and put my arms over Tristan's shoulders, pulling his face close to mine, kissing him softly, but with all the emotion I needed to show him my answer. Or so i thought. 'Wait, so it that a yes?' 'Yes silly. I would love to be your girlfriend.'
