It was a day or two since Demi was out of hospital. They say whatever happened traumatised her and she'll get better.
Some say whoever did this was playing a prank and took it too far, some say it was revenge, but some say she deserved it and there's nothing wrong with what happened.
I guess this just shook her, she was too afraid to go out, or go to school.
Dylan and Aiden would come by, talking to a person who's mind was somewhere else. They gave up really.
What's the point? Talking to a person who doesn't want help.
Her parents didn't help. They would just sit beside her and talk, same thing, nothing helped.
She was left alone. Her world was different to ours. It was fear really, fear that it will happen again. She thought she deserved it but everyone has a breaking point.
The thing is, she knew what she got herself into, knew how the game she's playing is a game where she can't win, losing, winning. Same thing.
Allison sat on her bed. Staring at her, as if she never saw Demi before.
"Is there something wrong?" Demi asked Allison with annoyance.
"No, just I'm regretting the things I did really" she replied.
"What do you mean?"
" Nothing" she said.
"Anyway, I'll get going, it's getting late anyway" she said while getting up.
Demi grabbed her wrist, making Allison flinch.
"What's wrong?" Demi asked, while getting up.
"Nothing, just nothing, okay?, just let go already" Allison shouted, while she stood there.
"I think you should go" Demi whispered.
Offended by her actions, Demi slammed the door after Allison walked out.
Grabbing her coat, Demi walked out of her room, sneaking downstairs she closed the door behind her and walked away.
This was normal for Demi, she would sneak out and go for a walk, not wanting anyone's presence.
She walked till she got to a building with a rooftop.
She always enjoyed sitting on the edge looking at the city lights.
She took the stairs and stood on the rooftop, she walked towards the buildings edge and took a seat.
"So what brings you here" someone asked.
She turned around and met Aiden.
" Oh, hi, I can ask you the same question" Demi replied.
"I was walking home and saw you coming it, it's really beautiful, now tell me why you're here, weren't you supposed to be locked up acting like you don't exist" Aiden said looking at Demi.
" I guess, but you see I wanted to calculate the time it would take me to fall and hit the ground, isn't it perfect" Demi said.
Aiden took a seat next to her, confused he looked at her.
"I guess, won't it be like flying?" He replied.
"Exactly, it will, but I just came here to look at the night sky" Demi said.
"It's okay, if you ever want to jump, I'll join you, you shouldn't do it by yourself" Aiden said.
"Thats a nice offer" Demi said.
Both sat there laughing.
"You know I really miss those times where we never cared about anything and just focused on life, what happened Demi? Where is the girl I knew?" He asked with desperation.
"Well people change, I can say the same about you" she replied not looking at him.
"That's your only excuse for you being a hold hearted person, well Demi you're not the only one who's hurting, everyone is dying, everyone's fighting with demons, and you can't just lock yourself out, we need you, I need you" he whispered.
" I just don't want to watch the people I care for being hurt for the mistakes I did, it was my stupid choices that got me into this, so don't go fighting for people who don't need you pity." She shouted back.
" Wait, you think I'm here because you think I feel bad for you, you really don't understand do you?" He questioned her.
" No,I have no idea why you're wasting your time on me, you never told me" she said, avoiding his gaze.
" I'm not good with words" he replied.
" I can see, I think we should go home"she said
"Yeah, sure" he said while standing up, giving her hand to Demi he helped her stand.
Together they walked down the stairs and made their way home.
" I guess this is goodbye, I'll see you tomorrow" Aiden said walking away from Demi's home.
" No, I'll see you in school, it's not Hogwarts but it'll do" Demi replied.
"Remember, I'll be your Draco anytime" Aiden shouted.
"That's sweet, bye for now" she said while closing the door.
Aiden made his way to his house, regretting that he never told her what he wanted to.
