He dropped down to his knees, horror written on his face
as he held his best friend to his chest. The one person that had been like a brother to him, the one that meant everything. His white shirt was slowly being drenched with something he didn't want to acknowledge. Blood. His friend's blood. His best friend's blood. The whiteness of his top used to resemble that of a fresh layer or snow, but now the blood spoiled this image, leaving just a splodge of death across the shirt...Almost like blood dripping on the delicate snow, staining the so called goodness. It spread like hatred. Itching it's way to the pure white.
His weak arms held him against his shaking body. Not caring about the red staining his arms. He rested his head against his chests hoping for a miracle.
He sighed with relief when he heard the faint heartbeat of his best friend thumbing in a slow rhythmic sound.
He got up and stared at his friend, not knowing what to do, he paced the room a bit hysterical. His hands tugged at his hair furiously. Dylan's parents where downstairs, enjoying their time together, Demi, in her room, overwhelmed by what happened.
His phone went off cutting all his movements, with trembling hands he read the message.
"Two down, one to go"
He threw his phone against the wall sneering and growlin; it shattered and fell just like his heart.
The door to Dylan's room opened slowly like in horror movies, Aiden turned to see who it was. It was Demi.
"Dylan you won't believe-"
Her jaw dropped after seeing her bloody brother resting on the floor, deadly still, she couldn't continue with what she was about to say.
"No, no, no!"she shook her head as tears poured out of her eyes like rain drops. She covered her mouth and dropped to the floor, her body shook from her cries.
She stood up on wobbly legs and walked out, almost crawling as her body wouldn't listen to her. He could hear her faints screaming from the room, calling for her mom and dad with desperate pleas of help.
All three ran back, time was running out, they didn't have long.
Dylan's father picked Dylan's fragile body and ran to the car, his mother drove to the hospital in a rush. Dylan's father gently placed his body in the backseat, he retested Dylan's head on his lap, smoothing his son's hair.
Aiden got into his car followed by Demi crying next to him in the passenger seat. They followed the adults' car, finding keeping up a little hard to do as his mind was thrown in a chaotic mess. He wanted to reach across to Demi and hug the crying girl, but there were various reasons that kept him from doing so, his hands tightened around the steering wheel.
"He's going to be okay, nothing's wrong, just please don't cry..." his voice cracked, he tried holding it together just for her. Couldn't let her see him break down, that would be bad for the both of them.

They waited for the news on what really happened, sitting in the waiting room, impatience clear in every movement they made. Hopelessness and fear drowned the waiting room.Demi's father sat next to her mother, reassuring that their son will be okay, Aiden sat next to Demi, hugging her, holding her next to him now that nothing could stop him from doing so.
The doctor had walked in, they all stood up anxiously, waiting for him to say something, anything. More precisely reassurance that the person they all cared for and loved was okay.
