Blurred vision, heart broken, she saw her friend, motionless, sprawled on the floor, a pool of blood surrounded the body, her face untouched by evil, she lay there with no worries, just sorrow, she could see the tear stains on her cheek, her eyes were open exposing the brown orbs that truly were a beauty, the colour was gone, it was faded, just like her vision.

Demi dropped to her knees and cried, covering her mouth she crawled towards her best friend, this couldn't be real, it can't be, not Alison, she can't die.

Aiden dropped beside her, his body shook with his cries, he saw his best friend die and couldn't help her, he couldn't stop it, couldn't stop her death.

She held her best friend, against her chest, remembering the time Alison slept on her against her, laughing while Demi tried waking her up, all those memories seemed too bitter, she couldn't think straight, not now.

She weeped, with her face in her hair, the curly hair that smelt like strawberries, now the stench of blood filled the room, she held her tight not wanting to let her go, not now, not forever.

They had dreams to fulfil , how can Alison hug her favourite artist, how will she take Demi's hand and travel with her, not now, she's not here, she can't see anyone anymore, her cries filled the room, now turned to screaming, she screamed her name asking her to come back, not now, she can't.

Aiden sat on the other side holding his best friends hand, which didn't intertwine with his, it didn't hold his hands, he cried into them, knowing he will never see her, he will never hear her laugh, or see her smile, he always saw her as a sister, always cared for her, a mistake lead to this, she was forgiven but not all take forgiveness easily.

They were soaked from the blood from her, the eerie silence filled the room, leaving the two to silently cry, lost in time they forgot who to call, they didn't have a way home, home won't be the same without that one person, that one who always waited for them so they could walk together to school, or the one who brought ice cream as comfort food.

"It's not real, it's not real, Aiden tell me this is a joke, just fucking tell me it is, this is too far, I get it, I hurt people but really, why hurt the one person I loved, why her, why Alison, it should me, not you not her, no one, it should be me" she whispered breaking the silence around.

Aiden looked up, not knowing what to say, he closed his eyes and pulled her into a hug, she cried, he cried, tear after tear, but none could fill the empty space in their hearts.

They broke apart and covered their mouths with their blood stained hands, stifling cries.

They could hear people coming in, the creaking of the wooden floor gave it away, they sat there facing their parents, with shock written on their faces they hugged their children, trying to reassure them that everything will be fine, but it won't, nothing can help with the emptiness, not when you lost that someone you always loved.

"She was amazing, she will always be with us, not physically but in our hearts, Alison we will truly miss you, my strawberry blonde headed friend" Aiden finished his speech. Wiping his eyes he walked back, and sat beside Demi and hugged her.

They all sat there wearing black, the symbol for mourning.

The eerie silence filled the room. They were going to bury Alison soon, no one wanted that, they all wanted this to be fake, just a prank, this couldn't happen.

Best friends do everything together, only in funerals you attend alone for each other.

They stood around the dug out earth, now being covered, all left one by one, only Aiden, Demi and Dylan stood there, holding onto each other, never wanting to let go,afraid they could break apart.

Hours later they returned home, they sat on the floor in Alison's room, resting against the wooden frame of the bed, knowing that they won't see her again, in here, talking non-stop about what happened to her in school or how many likes she got on her new post, everything in this room will be left untouched, as if Alison never left.

They cried enough tears no more could be shed, all could be done was to ignore the empty feeling that rested in their hearts.Demi always said she had no feelings or no heart, but she was wrong when one decides to feel they can, it's just a choice, a choice one can make, to feel or not to feel, and today she decided to feel, she couldn't bare it, how she stayed strong for so long and she finally broke.

Aiden sat there, emotionally drained like never before, it was hard on him, he always cared for her, she always cheered him up with those remarkable jokes and she was just there for her, always has been, he always remembered the time when Demi and Dylan became his neighbour, Alison would always play around there and she was the one to invite him whenever he was alone, if she never did they wouldn't even be so called friends, he cried enough and couldn't anymore.

Dylan said in the middle with head between his knees, crying into them, he never admitted his feelings for her, he fell in love with her on the first day he laid an eye on her, he really did believe in true love, he never told her he loved her, never had the courage to, and his chance was gone, more like taken away, he couldn't believe it, the one he really loved was gone, he was never the jealous type but his heart was broken when he found that she was dating Sam, he was going to ask out today, he planned everything and it was all crashed, he couldn't believe his luck, he didn't believe a word when his mom explained it, thought it was prank, he knew her she's the type that would go to extreme measures to play a prank, but it's wasn't, it was real, it was true, it was life.

The trio sat side by side, crying to themselves, remembering the happy memories they shared and regretting things they never said or did.

Demi was lost for words but plucked the courage to say the few words that bothered her.

"She liked you Dylan, I remember her talking nonstop about you, how you always treated her like she was the only girl...... She knew you liked her, she was waiting for you to ask and say something, she waited six years and it's sad that no one said anything all those years were wasted when you two could of got what you really wished for" she broke down in tears, hugging her legs and cried into them.

With glassy eyes he looked at her, tears fell down his rosy cheeks, he couldn't believe it, Alison did love her, but neither said a word, he regretted it, she was gone, he was lost for words and just shook his head, and looked away.

"She was my everything, and I lost her" he whispered barely making the words audible.

An eerie silence fell upon them, it was too much, when all their phones went off in unison, with trembling hands they read the message.

"You now know what happens when someone lets others know their secret, a snake would always be a snake, remember that" - Unknown.

They dropped their phones and cried, knowing the game was truly not over, they couldn't believe it.
