song I recommend for this chapter: If You Ever Wanna Be In Love (acoustic) by James Bay

I walk in to the coffee shop, looking to where she usually sits and not seeing her there. It's been a week and she hasn't returned. I order my tea and as I walk to my usual table, I see her.

She's sitting where I usually sit, looking out of the window. She's wearing a sheer, burgundy, button-up shirt. Her shirt is tucked in to her skinny, black jeans and a pair of black slip on's adorn her feet. Her hair is straight and she pushes it back behind her ear. I cough and she turns to me, the light hitting her glasses so one of her eyes only seems to be half an eye. She smiles.

"Hi." I mumble, still standing.

"Hey, uh, the woman behind the counter said you'd picked my sketch pad up?" She asks.

"Oh, yeah, it's in my bag." I nod, putting my drink down, before slipping my backpack off and opening it, getting her pad out.

"Thanks, I thought I'd lost it." She breathes a sigh of relief, taking it from my hands.

"I'm Simon." I say, for some reason.

She grins, "Violet."

I slide in to the booth, opposite her.

"Your drawings are amazing." I nod to her sketch pad.

"Ah, you looked?" She bites her lip, avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah, but, the page was open and they-they're really amazing." I also avoid eye contact.

"Thanks." She mumbles, smiling.

"Are you from around here?" I ask, noticing the slightly different accent.

"I'm from a village just outside of London, I moved here a while ago." She answers.

"What made you move?" I ask, suddenly growing more confident.

She hesitates before answering, "just wanted a fresh start."

"It feels weird talking to you considering you're always sitting in your booth and drawing." I say.

"I saw you looking at me." She laughs, folding her arms and leaning back slightly.

"I wasn't looking, I mean-maybe I was but-" I fumble over my words until she buts in.

"Hey, it's cool."

I smile at her, she smiles back.

She checks her watch before saying, "I've gotta go, but it was very nice talking to you Simon, we should do it again sometime."

"Do you think I could get your number?" I ask, as she stands up.

"I don't give my number out that easily, you'll have to try next time." She smirks, patting my shoulder as she passes, the feeling lingering.

"She's called Violet." I announce, walking in to the house.

"Who are you talking to?" JJ shouts from the kitchen.

I walk in to find JJ, Josh and Vikk sitting around the kitchen, phones in their hand.

"She's called Violet." I repeat myself, Josh's head snapping up.

"You talked to her?" He asks, smiling.

"She talked to me, but yeah, she's called Violet." I nod, grinning.

"Mate, you've said she's called Violet three times, we've got it." JJ laughs.

"So, did you get her number?" Josh questions.
